Trying to get an alchemy recipe that requires completion of several dungeons. I can see having to complete quest and/or world quest , even having to earn additional reputation…if it’s do-able by all then I’m ok with it. I can also see having to complete dungeons to obtain better gear to move up to more difficult dungeons for better unique rewards. However, have no idea why the folks at Blizzard believe that forcing players to complete content they dislike and normally would not do to get “a recipe” for a profession is good for their bottom line. Do they not see that they are removing playable content for some ? Seems silly to me…

Biggest problem for me (this especially exploded in legion) is that most of them required you to do the same trash dungeons for all professions to advance them. I don’t think a single profession left out a dungeon like Halls of Valor. Was the same old Vault, Maw, HoV, and I think a toss between DHT and NL.

It really wasn’t that bad. Right now I’m kinda looking forward to getting Mystical Cauldron Rank 3 recipe from Uldir. I never did Heroic Uldir, so I’m actually looking forward to putting together a group for it (even though it still drops from LFR, but where’s the challenge in that!?)
This is the reason I dropped Crafting professions. I just don’t bother with the Ranks on gathering professions.
I’ll just leave those to the folks that got time fo’ that.
You must be doing legion content. It was so ‘fun’ for professions (sarcasm there).

Amine…yup, I finally did start the Legion Expansion. For the most part I really like it, a lot actually, but between the whole flying issue and NOW part of the same issue needed to earn “recipes” for profession is just a bit too much. I don’t mine grinding, I’m a casual that plays many hours questing to level, so that’s what I do. But, having to do content I don’t enjoy and frankly am pretty bad at ( I have the eye/hand reaction time of a turtle) makes me cringe. I just don’t understand why Blizzard took content, that was do-able for all players, and just put it out of reach for some. Took that carrot at the end of the stick and ground it into little pieces !!!
