I noticed I’m flying more slowly than some other players. Looking it up, I see I need Expert riding in Shadowlands. The flight trainer in Orgrimmar only lists Journeyman, and it says I have it. How do I get Expert riding?
I think you mean Master riding - Expert is the basic flying skill (150% speed), Master is the upgraded 310% speed. It’s available from the flying trainer in Orgrimmar (Maztha) located next to the flight point. (If you’re talking to the riding trainer in the Valley of Honor, that’s the wrong trainer - Kildar only trains ground riding skills).
Yes, I mean master flying, but I’m standing at Maztha right now, and I only see Journeyman riding (already known).
Check the drop-down filter on the purchase window to see if “Not Known” is checked.

Ok thanks, Odd, it shows I have Master flying, yet I never trained for it. (I just got Shadowlands a couple weeks ago) And people still fly faster.
That may depend upon the specific class/spec. BM Hunter can talent into a +10% speed boost. A couple of other class/specs have something similar.
Plus there are potions and such to increase speed.
