Queued for Normals with a Level 71, 77, and 2 80s. None of which are even eligible to turn off experience.
Experience Eliminated for all 4 of us. The 1 pug did not get the debuff.
Did the whole dungeon before we noticed.
Waited out the 5 minute timer and queued again.
Same thing. Immediate debuff upon entering.
Is this consistently happening? Has Blizzard acknowledged it?
Edit: Found a thread in Bug Report and commented there as well. Seems like it’s been going on for at least the last couple days. Probably means it’s been like this since reset. Not sure how this hasn’t been caught and fixed by now if that’s the case.

just had the same issue occur while i was leveling my paladin. Did two dungeons and didnt get any exp for doing them at lv 70. Playing with my wife and friend who were on their lv 80’s while the pugs were sub 80.

Ive had this happen all week in mythics.
FWIW we just tested it again < 1 hr ago and it did not happen (1 80 & 1 74, and again with 1 80, 1 74, and 1 77).
So at this point I’m wondering if the issue is tied to “recently being in a Mythic Dungeon” or something. I can’t recall if we were in Mythics before we swapped to leveling with our lower-70 friend or not when I made this thread.
I’ll definitely try it out right after finishing a Mythic one of these days to see if that reproduces it.

ya I stopped lvling my alts because of this issue it really gives 0 xp blizzard needs to fix this…it says because someone in your party turned off XP well make it so they cant do dungeons then and or be in group with anyone
That’s not the issue.
People are getting the debuff even when no one in the group even has the option of turning off their experience even if they wanted to.
You cannot turn off exp if you are over level 69.
I think I’ll skip the pre-order of Midnight this time…
It’s becoming blatantly clear Blizzard doesn’t respect their craft anymore.
Those devs must feel like sweatshop workers at this point.
I was tanking M0s for 3 days straight and had the no experience debuff 90% of the time. I thought it was only a Mythic dungeon buff, I’m baffled that players aren’t getting exp because of that. What a circus
