i find it amusing they took it away for classic and gave it to retail where it’s already a joke to level good thinking blizz. if you can’t level in retail without an xp buff you got serious problems.

It has nothing to do with “not being able to level” and everything to do with “running toon #13+ through the same exact content to level from 50-60 is exhausting.”

And since someone will inevitably say, “Well, why do you need that many characters” - a lot of people like to change their mains in the new expansion, or mains of each class. This helps them do that.

This is such a strange statement. I don’t think anyone has ever said this. The xp buff is just a fun little bonus before the new expac

agreed but the problem on classic is even worse. level 1-15 alone is a nightmare with out the 50% exp buff. they should nerf exp needed as a whole since the whole game is balanced around end game
It’s almost like Classic is no longer in the lead-up to a new (or “new”) expansion, and real WoW is.

I am in the leave the 50% buff to 70 side of the debate.
let 70 to 80 be pvp and dungeon spam lol…err I mean embrace the open world questing classic adventure.
Which I do…between bg hits.
I love bg anywhere. XP and honor. To buy shiny toys at 80. and when I hit cap on the way there I can buy a mount or 2 to burn points.
Leveling in retail is just too easy. One thing classic does well is that leveling forces you to have pick up some basic idea how to play your character.
yep, im constantly switching mains because i get bored playing the same thing all the time… and i had 16 60’s b4 they even started the buff.
to be fair thats how a very loud 10% of people wanted it lol
The classic community is divided on the subject, no? Whereas we always love exp events.

I’m waiting for 10.0 to do 50-60, but for those who do it now, it turns Threads of Fate to requiring all 4 zones + extra side quests/dungeons/etc. into ~3 zones.
Which, relatively speaking, is still a godsend, and how it should have been tuned from the start.
