From looking at guides etc. I think I’m supposed to use it on cooldown if im under max chi? It feels awkward because I’m not exactly sure what im supposed to do with it. This is for Windwalker btw.
I believe using it on CD is for Brewmaster tanks as a way to offset our large healing requirements. No idea for WW since the dmg output is pretty miniscule.
Yes but it gives 1 chi for half a gcd
Expel Harm is half the energy cost for 1 chi and it helps with Hit Combo if you use it.
It also helps fill in more Blackout Kicks for lowering your cooldowns as well.
So really you should try to be using it on cooldown to weave in more blackout kicks or to smooth out Hit Combo since our haste levels are very low right now.
Perfect this is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you!
When do you recommend using it as a Mistweaver in PvP? I kinda just throw it out there whenever it’s up, but it doesn’t do much. Is it more viable when you add the Expel Harm benefit to your conduit system?
I’m not very familiar with MW stuff and even more in the dark with anything PvP related so I can’t help you there. Sorry!
Ah, no problem. Thanks for the response anyway. It’s difficult when I watch PvP videos because I can’t always identify which spell they’re clicking or in which order.
Use Expel Harm while casting Soothing Mist on your ally.
Not only will it heal both you AND your target, but it will also trigger your Mastery: Gust of Mists on the both of you as well. If for whatever reason you have Essence Font active, your mastery will proc 4 times (twice on your ally, twice on yourself).
It’s actually quite powerful.
For WW, Wow Analyzer recommends to keep it up 80% of the time in PvE.
The more you keep it up the more chi you have when you need it.
In PvP you probably want to save it until you are ki starved, since spending even half a GCD on something with that little throughput is a bad idea in a meta this bursty.
