As pre-patch is upon is pretty soon, I am sure most of us are trying to tie up any loose ends with BFA achievements. Six (6) weeks ago I started finishing up Expedition Leader. I did everything needed except I noticed I am missing one quest for the Tell me a Tale achievement: Vorus’arak’s Carapace. I did some research, and apparently this mob (Vorus’arak) only spawns during Skittering+Nerubian weeks. We have a month or so until Shadowlands. I am getting a tad bit nervous as I might not be able to finish this achieve because the island map rotation is completely RNG and the Skittering+Nerubian combo is very rare. Am I the only one who thinks this is jacked up? Anybody else missing Vorus’arak’s Carapace quest, too?

I have that and 2 others that I need for that achievement, but honestly I’m not extremely worried yet about that one given that we should still have time for another full rotation of islands before SL drops. My personal worry is that I just need the Un’Gol Ruins PvP achievement and I feel like PvP islands are going to be far more difficult to achieve than regular mythic ones in the near future.
I’ll probably just plan on spamming mythic islands like crazy when Skittering Hollow comes back around and pray it drops.
This achievement’s design is just piss-poor. I’ve been stuck on needing the Wriggling Mass for 3 months.
Agreed. All I’ve been missing is glittering scarab and this thing’s still not dropping.
I don’t think islands are going away when prepatch is here. However, it will be extremely difficult to find 2 other people to queue with! 
I remember grinding out the carapace. I grinded islands hard all expansion for neck levels, mounts, etc. When I started counting the week it was confirmed up I think it took me 120 skittering hollow islands. I’m pretty sure I had to complete the other 2 islands for me to get to Skittering Hollow again so total I did like 360 islands in one week to get it. It’s awful good luck though?
