How much interest is there in roleplaying as Hallowfall Arathi? I revived this old alt of mine to play as a Lamplighter who has traveled topside to explore the Old World and its lost, sacrilegious cultures. How many others out there have created Arathi characters? Is there any interest in organizing?
I’ve seen a few here and there, actually. Saw a player using Dracthyr visage form to play an Arathi that was trying to learn magic, since there weren’t any mages left in the expedition to train anyone. Saw a few Void Elves with profiles indicating they were Arathi as well.
I have a Lamplighter, he functions as a Lamplighter right now, and is the cousin a few generations removed, of my main (this character.)
He is also destined for the Argent Crusade once Hallowfall does not need him anymore.
Hi there, Hallowfall Arathi Huntress here.
Although I’m going to need Blizzard to give them some more lore and explanations on their feelings towards the Arathi Empire before I feel comfortable RPing as one of them in an official capacity.

From what I recall of the dialogue in the zone, they basically tell us that the reason they remain in Hallowfall instead of traveling up and at least settling on Dorn is because they believe it is their sacred duty to safeguard Bereldar for the Emperor. IMO that provides enough general context on their feelings toward the Empire and their continued devotion to it.
There are ways beyond the overt to serve the ends of protecting Beledar and enriching the Empire.
That’s how my character sees it.
As a noble of the Empire, my character is devoted to its development, defence, and empowerment. He’s also a cautious and calculating man. He thinks it wise to document all he can about the world beyond the Storming Sea, doing so specifically so the Empire has an intelligence foundation to work from in future, IF required and IF he’s ever in-contact with it again. He’s currently travelling the world, keeping his cards close and deliberately appearing as a friendly and curious foreigner. He’s quietly noting down the strengths and weaknesses of the nations he visits, and he says what he has to to curry favour with those who may be swayed to support the cause in Mereladar; hence why he was given permission to leave Hallowfall.
If anyone who’s playing an Arathi character of a similar mindset would like to set some regular RP up, feel free to let me know.
I love lamp.
I love lamp.
But do you love the sacred light of Beledar?
