So, i wont be buying the new expansion for WoW solely because in cad its 72.23+tax 15% then 21$ for monthly sub too rich for my blood. I aint rich, heck im paying for game pass for my son + Nintendo. All tiers of the expansion should come with 30 days free.
Ill just stick to wotlk till i get bored and unsub.

Haven’t they progressively become less greedy? We’re not paying for the last expansion as soon as the new one comes out and a sub alone gives you access to a huge amount of content to explore. Recently they actually reached out and gave SL free to a bunch of people who were currently subbed and had a history of previous expansions.

Feel free to stick with WotLK only, but the basic version of Dragonflight in Canada is $54.99 + tax.

I won’t be buying the new expansion for WoW because they have ruined too much of what I loved about the game a decade ago for me to be willing to pay them for the newest content.
If the game was the same amazing adventure it was back them, I would pony up in a heart beat.

Not really, seeing most of your complaint is actually with the conversion between the CAD and the US dollar and taxes. The price of a sub hasn’t change in years and even the expansion is about the same base cost as most games, I noticed you listed it at 72 CAD, so that is what the Heroic version? The base edition is $49, which is only a slight increase over what we paid for like $40 for Wrath back 2008.
i was gonna say stop playing and if enough ppl do the same thing theyll have to reconsider prices… but the price is going up even if we probably got less subs than back then so i realize i’m just not making any sense 
what we need is solid competition - which we dont have just yet.

That I wont disagree with especially with a cash shop on top of that, though unfortunately any other brand new AAA game would run us $79.99 + tax these days which comes out to more than $54 + tax + $21 for a monthly sub.
That said, I have a million alts which in this game functionally gives you unlimited battle net balance over time cause I can get 3 tokens per month with pretty minimal investment of play time.
Otherwise I too would probably stick to WotLK Classic.
So farm gold, buy a token and boom 30 days of game time
Also 15% sales tax, I assume you’re in one of the atlantic provinces as well
