I feel validated in these responses.
Horses will stand as judgment for your crimes.
The last dungeon is the horse dungeon.
I think you guys are just horsing around.
I will unsub if it comes to that.
I’m sure it’ll be equine.
Fine, I mean. I meant to say “fine.”
I mean, sometimes you may think you’re safe, but remember that horses in WoW are actually omnivores.
Don’t run. They’re attracted to movement.
For the most part I don’t wanna use any of the covenant back mogs on Miko since they clip with his hair but they’re really cool for casters since they hide items sheathed on the back. Your wizard no longer needs to have a stat stick glued to their back at all times!
I want to level my Draenei mage so I can give him the necrolords back crystal mog and imagine him as some sort of walking arkonite turret
They’re not attracted to movement. They can still find you if you’re standing still or hiding.
They’re attracted to fear.
I had the night fae twig wings thingy, but one I got the shoulders you couldn’t see it from the front anymore. I changed to the bulb with the moths. I look like a tree. on more piece before I become groot!
I love my moths. I only wish they detached and flew next to me when I’m on a flying mount. Or ground mount. If this game had that level of animation I’d probably die of happiness.
I was optimistic for the Night Fae Twigs, but I can’t stand how they just ‘float’ on the back. Looked fwd to the moths, but as a Gnome, the pack ends up as a really tiny, cluttered and a confusing visual.
I bought the Winterwoven Pack as my first cosmetic backpiece and couldn’t be happier. It’s exactly what I wanted.
Looking at other covenant back pieces, most of them are ‘floaty back’ and it’s not very motivating.
I have been farming Necromantic Anomaly and Oily Invertebrate for days now and nothing! The two back pieces I want the most ;v
I did on a whim do Zargox and got the skele wings which is cool but I want the shadowly crystal back piece or plague ghost buster backpack more ![]()
I originally had Juspion in Necrolords for a similar idea but I liked the cloth mog more so I made my priest Necrolord while Juspion gets to have knife wings instead.
I was able to smash a level 40 campaign quest with a bunch of champions that were in their low 30s. Meanwhile some friends are struggling with their covenant tables and now ignoring them altogether. Which is kind of ridiculous.
Weird, I’ve rarely met an animal I didn’t immediately get along with.
There’s just that moment when the doberman is growling and snarling at you, and you just walk over and pick it up and start rubbing its belly, and it just goes floppy and does happy little yips that sticks with you, you know?
Also horses are playful and tend to get nippy if they don’t get enough exercise and/or haven’t been reared well. They’re very intelligent and can remember people, and can also hold a massive grudge if mistreated. They can also not give a damn and, just like us, can have bad days. I remember one horse rolled right over me when I was going horse-riding, it just refused to have anything to do with people and was the most surly and ill-tempered thing. The next day? Complete cuddle-beast and wouldn’t let go of the back of my jacket, no, I was the person and I was not permitted to leave.
Going to try to avoid spoilers!
The Accuser is becoming one of my favorite non-panda WoW characters. I really enjoy how when you first enter Revendreth that you get this kind of “Wow, these vampires are kind of bad” vibe just on looks and they have the souls chained up. But, as you go through the campaign and listen to side-NPCs, you realize that the (certain faction) Venthyr care deeply about the souls in their charge.
Spoilers for the Venthyr campaign post-joining them.
Summary
The Accuser pretty much represents that perfectly. There’s one quest that she sneaks into judgement of another soul that was in her care before the rebellion. As they judge the soul unworthy and prepare to cast it into the Maw, she steps in and binds her own sinstone with the soul to save them and ascend them into a Venthyr. The basically creates a huge weakness for her (that we likely won’t see made relevant) but she says she’d do it again. Her interactions with Kael’thas Sunstrider even furthers it as she personally oversees his ritual and fights his biggest manifestation. She’s really awesome.
I have this… ongoing ambivalence about most things Blizzard offers us anymore that’s hard to shake. But even so, I’m finding myself really liking the various quest NPCs we interact with this time around. Granted, I only just started Maldraxxus on my new shaman, but Bastion’s NPCs were really fun to run around with and just listen to. So this, here, has me looking forward to more.
That gives me a lot of hope, Levington! I’ve been trying to decide on an alt, and Bastion Monk is what I’m currently leaning towards. Venthyr care so much about their souls that I can’t help but be curious if the others care as much as well.
Thanks much and I hope you enjoy your time in Maldraxxus.
I feel like Blizzard left Wintergrasp in the game to get back at us for something we did to them.
