Expand the community council

We are lacking any real dialogue on the community council. We just have the same two or three people going back and forth and it’s limiting the amount of feedback they can be getting. Feedback from other community council members or even feedback on something they post from the rest of us is better than no feedback at all. I see members of the community council with staggeringly low post counts which begs the question why they’re even a part of the community council. I hope sadly that blizzard gets most of their feedback from other places because the community council forum just isn’t doing enough. Even on the alpha test forum pages, there isn’t nearly enough feedback for the devs to get a good idea of what’s going on.

I want to participate.

Why? Blizzard should hire more people to read and filter the best posts from the forums, we don’t need a community council

It’s only a one year term isn’t it? If you don’t like today’s voices, new blood will be rotating in before long.

It’s also a much, much smaller population than the general forums. so the discussions are rarely going to unfold as quickly as things can explode here.

Well, we’re both in agreement that the community council right now isn’t doing enough

Why do we need more people to be ignored.

Why bother, they have yet to do anything, pretty much confirming the community at large was correct, it was a PR stunt meant to make us forget about blizz’s cubicle crawlin’, cosby roomin’, lady milk stealin’ antics.

They ignore the orange textites just like they ignore the rest of us, the PR stunt served its purpose, so I doubt they’ll invite any more people to the “ignored but orange” section.

It won’t work, the main issue with CC is the lack of Devs response, it’s a discussion forum but sometimes Devs response just once and players there take that response to keep the conversation but Devs don’t comeback.

Just take the 500 mount achievement feedback, a Dev that’s part of the CC forums responded my thread of GD, Good, they didn’t want to use the yeti, but instead of checking further on the feedback with the CC council collectors or the general public, Devs just changed it from one alpha build to another alpha build.

No matter if you put more players there, those players will be just ignored, CC video mentioned “regular live chats” but Devs only do Q&As with content creators.

Example:

35 comments, just 1 comment from Dev, I know that at certain point Devs must draw the line and keep their own design…but just 1 response for a discussion forum, Why don’t address the concerns result of your first response?
