EXP Missions Gone

I stopped accepting them. I have at least 2 followers waiting at the NPC next to the mission table, and 3 NPCs I see every time I zone into Torghast because I didn’t take them either.

Not going to add 5x level 1s. Blizzard can fix their stupid system or I’ll just leave them there to rot.

I wish I had done that.

Who is doing so many missions that they disappear? The least fun thing ever.

Keep the bulk of your companions around the same level, the troop level is based on your median level. The last 6 companions i’ve gotten havn’t budged my troop level because the companions i had before were at most 2 levels lower than my highest level companion

See, and this is good advice, but I didn’t know that back at the start. I went hard on the missions early because I wanted the pets. Well, I got the pets, but now we’re in this mess.

I had my top five over 20 before I did TC and ended up with the flood of new companions. Live and learn, I guess.

you aren’t intended to be able to get through the progression without leveling up. It’s basically only possible with night fae cheese.

I’m going to test this myself, of course, but this is likely still a silly, and unnecessary reduction in EXP for “progressing too far.” EXP missions were giving 1500-1800 bonus EXP, in addition to the normal EXP for winning that mission.

And yet I’m Necrolord. It isn’t that I haven’t leveled, I have a couple of companions at level 42, one level 40, a couple around level 35, and then a range of level 20-30s, plus a new level 1.

Ya I know, but honestly I don’t need 5 more troops. I have 12? Enough for 2 missions full of companions or 3+ if I use basic troops as well. I’m in no hurry to max out something that is unlikely to get any design updates whatsoever for the next 2 years.

Also, on a side note, don’t bother upgrading the Adventure Table past level 1.

Yah, pretty soon I’m going to run out of things to use Anima on. Just upgraded travel network to 3, might upgrade conductor to 3, level 1 mission table and never going to even start Path of Ascension.

Is there a strategic reason for this? I know lots of people aren’t upgrading because they don’t/barely use it, but I don’t see an actual downside to doing it.

It doesn’t really help much, but if you have plenty of anima to spare, you might as well.

Wtf…?! That explains a lot on my Bastion guy then. So the key would be to just ignore the table entirely until you’ve unlocked all your followers, then start leveling them but completely ignore the progression missions.

Jolly gee whiz this company didn’t take one whole minute to think “aye w8” when coming up with this?

I think the key is really to stop the campaign missions once you have access to 1500 and 1800 bonus EXP missions. You do get those by progressing the table campaign, but I don’t know how many campaign missions after that is the point you lose EXP missions.

Yeah, this seems broken, even though right now I know it’s “intended.” I’m consistently getting new adventurers and there are even more adventurers (at leas one I saw) through renown levels later on. Yet if I get level 1 followers I don’t have any XP missions offered to level them up quickly. I’m forced to tack them on to “normal” missions with some high level guys and hope they get at least some XP.

Their system needs to average out the missions based upon follower levels or offer missions in each tier you have followers in (like 1-10 or 10-20, etc) to allow them to keep up.

I suppose the downside on delaying the campaign is having to wait to do the mount missions, but since those seem to need higher levels (i.e. EXP), this is actually the smarter play. What a jacked up system.

Wow. For once my stubbornness paid off. >.< I’ve been refusing to move forward until they are all the same level, so I’ve only been doing Anima and XP quests. Naturally, this means that everything is sloooowwww, but I don’t really care about the table.

On my main Covenant everyone is 21, so they can kick back and drink while the newbies work their way up the ladder.

Still getting the XP quests. Love to say I knew, or did you go to this site… but yeah, just dumb luck. >.<

They had exactly the same problems with the older mission tables from past expansions where after progressing past a certain point, low level missions simply disappear even if you had a bunch of new trainees. They had to patch and fix that.

I’m not surprised at all that they’ve made the same mistake again when this is only their fourth attempt.

The problem is those missions cost 50 animal currency.
