I’m just curious. Do Exotic pets do more damage than normal pets? The ability itself doesn’t claim to doing so. So I’m curious, do you notice a difference, or not really?
No. They do the same damage. The only competitive benefit is that exotic pets have 2 family abilities instead of 1, but family abilities are all utility anyway.
Core Hounds technically do more damage if they get hit due to their exotic ability
Aqiri can also do more damage when switching between mobs sometimes due to their movement speed bonus. This applies to all Cunning on a lesser scale but is nowhere near enough to justify using over Tenacity in raid/m+ for example
If you’re curious to know the most useful exotic pets, the answer is Spirit Beast for pve group content and Clefthoof for solo content. ,
If you’re in a M+ group that needs lust, I’d probably go with Devilsaur if your group seems legit for the mortal wounds, and Clefthoof if you’re unsure as it heals you more with your Mend Pet leech and can take an add of the tank if they’re being overwhelmed.
