Hey hey,
Wondering if anyone can guide me to what Exotic BM pets they recommened to have for BFA?
Ideally I would like a ferocity for PvE and cunning for PvP. Are there any whos skills exceed others?
Also I would like something fairly easy to obtain, after the spirit cat in wotlk, I never want to sink so many countless hours into never finding the pet.
Double pet…
While this is awesome and I loved having Hati last time i played, I’ve read that this weakens your pet/s in general and lowers damage output overall by having two pets. Can anyone comfirm the legitamacy of this and whether they recommend using the talent or not?
I have already experienced several bugs from the second pet in only two days of playing, whilst bugs are irritating, I do enjoy having the two pets, especially when you get double stomp, is the damage loss small enough that you would recommend keeping two pets purely for the enjoyment of it?
Thanks so much! - and yes I have searched this all on google, for hours, but I get left even more confused from the large amount of contradiction from page to page, so here to ask the people who have lived it.
Thank you, ill get one tonight. By being so tank is he low in damage output?
What about the first row talent? Do you use the two pets one?
I use animal companion for class fantasy.
But I completely not recommend that cause of tons of bugs and dps issue
Even if blizz fixed some of bugs, animal companion still not fixed well.

DAMN clefthoof is a true beast, when you said unkillable, its no lie! Ty
I second the clefthoof idea, and for PVP, some people use a slow of Mortal Strike pet, and some use spirit beast for it’s HP/heal. but I like silithid, it has a slow, and a +30% speed on itself all the time. very mobile

Pet damage has been normalized so there aren’t pets that do more baseline damage than another. Corehounds have an ability that causes some passive damage so they might edge out on damage output, but not by much. Also no, the AoE attack on Worms and Chimeras does not add damage to their attack. While using the AoE their autoattack shuts off.
Spirit beasts are unique to BM hunters and pretty great overall. The dispel comes in handy for both PvP and PvE, the heal can be used on yourself or others, and they look pretty cool generally.
Clefthoof as mentioned is amazing for solo play tanking/survival. Even moreso if you take Aspect of the Beast for more leech on yourself and pet.
Water striders and pterrordaxes have water walking and slowfall respectively so they make getting around easier, especially pre-flying.
Other than those more notable ones it’s just like whatever you prefer. Some of the stuff is pretty superfluous and in need of updating. The devilsaur healing, for example, is kinda pointless (I think) as is the Quilen ability to come back to life when killed because resurrect is such a low cast time now.
You should always have something, IMO, with a dispel available and something ferocity if there’s no mage or shaman. Defensive family pets are great for raids/dungeons as well for the added HP and defensive cooldown. Honestly just keep a variety for situations. The engineering item that creates a stable is pretty plentiful.
I choose to use two pets. I have not seen any significant difference in my dps compared to others (I have not really researched into it)
I just enjoy using two, and if my dps suffers slightly I’m ok with it. I’m not mythic raiding or anything

Theoretically,
- Meele: 20% higher than killer instinct(=KI)
- Stomp: 20% higher than KI
- Kill Command: 20% higher than upper 35%hp, 30% lower than lower 35% hp
- Bite/smack etc: around 30~40% lower than KI
Cause second pet does not cast bite/smack etc, dps is not increasing
Corehounds have an AoE ability that give extra threat and are pretty good tanking pets because of it.
Another small thing worth noting is that if you get an extra 10%, or 15% with aspect of the beast, leech from your mend pet when using animal companion with a ferocity pet. So if you’re rolling with a pair of 140k hp pets that basically means you’re getting a 42k 10 second heal over time for yourself that you can keep up permanently if you wish.
I used AC while leveling from 10 to 60 but I stopped once I got flying because it sometimes bugs out and won’t summon the other pet for a long time after landing. This is a known bug and Blizzard has no plans to fix it.
