Using Feign Death to eat/drink/bandage
Using Shadowmeld also to eat/drink/bandage
Using either to drop traps as hunter
Were these possible ,memory is fogged by war.(yeah war right)
Will hunter traps be usable in combat? It was yes and no at different times i think.
For a short time you could multi cc trap opponents, think this was the bc prepatch leading into bc tho.( triple trap ftw!)
Also were there toys that drop combat?

Nope. Can’t use shadowmeld in combat.

If I’m not mistaken hunter traps cannot be used in combat. But you could feign death to drop one.

Classic won’t have toys. I cannot recall any trinkets or anything that dropped combat. But perhaps I’m forgetting something.

I know that engineering helmet did a very long stun. Would be long enough to drop combat if you’re in a 1v1 battle.

You definitely could not shadow meld while in combat.

You used to be able to eat/drink while melded, but can’t remember which you had to initiate first.

The only way I remember being able to leave combat was feign death. I do not recall other classes having any means to leave combat, though some had threat reducers.

There were no items that broke combat.

This is why feign death was so great for hunters. I used it to erase threat after using rapid fires and going all out in raids, I used it to meld out of bad pvp situations behind trees and such, I used it to drink on long fights, I used it on wipes so I could jumper cable a healer, and I used it to drop traps in PvP. It’s the most versatile ability in the game.

As previously mentioned, no meld in combat.

Dismiss Pet -> Feign -> Trap/Meld worked however.

Yep, no traps or shadowmeld in combat so basically, only feign.

at least if your a paladin or a frost mage…

There are very few ways to effectively STOP combat and make enemies return to default states.

  1. Vanish
  2. Feign Death
  3. Divine Intervention

That’s about all I can think of.
