Exile's Reach

Good Morning All: I just started playing a new avatar and saw the option to start in Exile’s Reach. Enjoyed the content but see (now) that it ends with a dungeon. IS this the only way out of this area…let me know please.

As far as I know yes. You ‘may’ be able to be warped out? But the dungeon takes 10 minutes, max.

Just go in and beat up the big bad dragon.

its really super quick, and not that hard at all…

You can run the dungeon solo. There are a couple NPCs that will help you. If a couple of other players are on the same quest it may backfill the dungeon with two other players.

Isn’t it a 2 man thing where you basically solo with some random in there?

Thanks so much for your replay…and here I was so pleased with Blizzard offering a new zone to start. Only option is to delete the avatar I guess. When will they stop trying force content on players. It’s a game…

Oh, FFS, get hold of yourself.

It’s a solo scenario, but queues like a dungeon and I think up to 2 more may auto join you.

“Dungeon” is a loose term in this case. It’s totally a solo thing, you’re grouped with some NPCs. The idea is to give a new player a sense of what real dungeons actually entail. Whether or not it accomplishes that is another conversation. But like someone else said, it’s only a few minutes and super easy… barely an inconvenience. Sorry, I’ve been watching way too much Ryan George.

It’s a short baby dungeon romp. Pretty easy beginner dungeon nothing to fear.

Yes it is. It’s super easy, most of the group is AI and it takes about 5 minutes. It’s meant to be a very basic intro to 5 man content. You will always be a dps, so you don’t have to worry about tanking or healing others.

Thanks so much for taking the time to get back to me…I took all of your advice and completed this last quest…much better then deleting my avator

Nice! I think it’s too short to fuss over. 5-10 minutes and you are on your way to Azeroth.

It’s super easy even for someone who never does dungeons. If there aren’t other players for the group, you will have NPCs that work well as group members. I always play dps, so regardless if any other player is controlling their characters, there will be tank, healer, and more dps. It goes fast. Just follow along and enjoy.

Just revisited my post as everyone was so nice and wanted to be sure to thank you all again. However, not to my surprise there was of course one poster that could not be kind or understanding and five others that agreed with the the posters sentiment. BUT…to all the others that were so helpful and understanding…thank you so much. You folks are a great example of the best of World of Warcraft !!

that “one poster” was completely gobsmacked at your major over-reaction to something so trivial.

proclaiming that you were going to delete the character rather than just play through the content, is an extreme reaction.

the “dungeon” is nothing more than a glorified scenario., which you were seemingly able to do with apparently little to no trauma.

barely an inconvenience

Seriously, dungeons aren’t the end of the world. You act your PC is about to explode or you just got the worse news of your life. Dungeons are not that bad. Especially exiles reach, often times it’s only just you or one other person

exiles reach is absolutely the worst piece of content they’ve released

Dungeons been part of wow since vanilla. This is a good way for newbies to have an idea on how to queue for one and be part of a group. But it doesnt last more than 10 min, nothing to compare with the old deadmines

Wrong. You chose the right option and gave it a go and you made it.
