Executor Tarvold (Mythic)

I can’t imagine groups being able to do this boss if you add even one more ground effect mechanic such as sanguine, volcanic, or earthquake. This boss stretches teams to the limit and only the very best groups will be able to manage it with M+ affixes. Is Blizzard making the game fun or just making it exclusive? And to top it off the best gear no longer comes from high level M+. This doesn’t make sense why we need such a hardcore skill check at this point.

It just takes communication, it’s not that hard. There aren’t any hard dps checks on Tarvold, just competency checks.

put it on m8 and 90% of wow players will not be able to do it, and if that means were idiots then what ever! The boss is ridiculous, it took our group 15 (or more) attempts, and that was with our guild’s raid leader running the show. I am sick of Blizzard catering to the Elitist who want everyone out of their game and expect ridiculous idiot checks like this one.

What’s so hard about moving to the left and right sides of the hall while pulling him around it?

Second boss of Sanguine Depths, jailer looking guy. You’re in a narrow corridor that drops puddles and has two giant orbs blazing through it. So adding more ground effects through affixes is probably going to get dicey.

Tarvold on MYTHIC. you have to swap sides of the room, immediately kill the add, kite the boss back to avoid the puddles, and then there is the beam that quickly kills the target unless heals are focused or this person bubbles. I just imagine how much more difficult this fight will be with bubbling volcanoes or earthquakes. I think even the best players will have problems with this one.

I mean none of the fights in SL are really melee friendly, any group with even 2 melee(not counting the tank) is going to struggle without really good communication but avoiding the puddles and and the giant sweeping laser thing isn’t THAT hard.

you are right alone none of these are an issue. Its putting them all together, then adding M+ affixes, even at M0 it is immensely over tuned for the difficulty that it should be. Its an idiot check gone bad, this is an example of going overboard due to whiny players not wanting “bads” in their groups. Get gud at checking your people and stop ruining the game for everyone else.

I did that on the beta

What you do is pull him about 20 yards into the hall way that you cleared when you start the fight, then you stand behind him so you can see when the tornado things are coming down the hall way from the side you’re looking at (you should be facing the way you came) when you kill the add (stun the add when it spawns) the tank should move it another 20 yards down the hall

When he’s casting that mind seer like ability the best move is if you’re a class with an agro break or immunity pop it (FD for hunters, vanish for rogues, bubble for pala, IB for mages, DKs can AMZ to reduce group damage) etc etc)

That should make it way easier, it’s not to bad once you get all the mechanics but you gotta pump the add asap

Ok, I’m not saying it is impossible. Our team did it. I am saying it is over tuned, and it is an “Idiot Check” gone horribly wrong. They took it too far for an entry level M0

All you need to do is move him in a direction away from where the orbs first spawn so you’re not at the convergence point, and then after that it’s just a matter of managing your space with the pools.

The only difficult bosses I know of in mythic dungeons are muehzula, just because he has a 1 shot and there’s always somebody who dies to it.

And the doppelgänger boss in scithe, because 1 person can kill the group, and even then during that phase she does some mean aoe.

Its literally a “don’t stand in bad” check. His tornado follows a pattern. Super easy to avoid.

That doesnt prove your point though. If lfr didnt have the stacking buff, 90% of people wouldnt be able to do that either.

I’ll be honest. I dont even know what boss they are talking about. Ive done all 8 mythics both weeks and didn’t see any problems that not being stupid wouldnt fix.

All of these bosses have way too much going on IMO. I couldn’t imagine being successful in them without any add-ons like DBM. Good thing DBM is free!

most of them are very simple. “stack when adds spawn”, “run spirits into urns”, “don’t get hit by stuff” covers like 90% of the mechanics
