Start without it. As you find out what targets need funnel damage, spec into funnel damage.

I hate ES. I’m doing my best to avoid it unless it becomes overwhelmingly obvious that we need to take it.
I’d rather they ditch it and bring back Final Reckoning.

Both choices are legit, whether you want a 1-minute build or 30 second build.
That being said, it’s still early. Make a build you enjoy and enjoy the feel/rotation.

1 Does increases damage actively at the time of damage the other is a little trickle tacked on at the end… matters in burst pvp… and yes im looking at you too pve timer mechanics

As many said, both.
Now, in lower level content, you might not take full advantage of ES/FR if stuff dies to fast, so take that into account.
It’s not a big concern now since no one is out scaling the content but it will quickly change.
As we will be going up, the funnel mechanic will become valuable as a way of reducing trash time singling out the high health target.

I think ES is still bugged to only be funneling 10% of holy dmg instead of 20%, so when that is fixed it might feel a bit better.
Using Judge, Jury, and Executioner to refund 5 HoPo on an Execution Sentence into Hammer of Light is personally pretty satisfying - you may also enjoy this.

The choices are basically whether or not you want a 30 second profile with radiant glory or a 1 minute profile with ES.
Either is good. Pick for your preference.

Icyviens is most likely going from when the ES buff to 20% of dmg up from 10% was announced, but its never actually been implemented even though the tooltip was updated, so its still only doing 10%. Burn to ash>ES
