Executes through shields need to stop

Its pretty ridiculous that things such as ToD and sudden death just insta kill you through a shield.

I fall to 10% and press bulwark and get a shield for half my hp, and i just insta die… MW bubble at 10%? insta die. big disc bubble? insta die.

its not fun negating specs major CDs.

i hate assa’s ToD the most, literal 10% auto execute that bugs through shields, on a spec that just doesn’t deserve that kind of passive.

Doesn’t. ToD deals damage, and has to go through the full absorb to land a kill.

Only Sudden Demise behaves as you say, completely ignoring the absorb, and yes, it needs fixing.

Well they work off % health. Sudden death procced because your HEALTH threshold was below its kill point, not your mitigation.

TOD worked because you were under 10%, and then it did the monks entire health bar of damage. If you absorbed more than that you’d of lived.

ToD does the entire HP bar?? Did they change it back to that at some point? It used to be nerfed in PvP and only do like 50% of their hp.

It does 35% of the monk’s HP.

yeah ngl, as an asssassination rogue player, I feel dirty and guilty every time I win a game by hunter dying through deter or someone dying right after getting cocooned.

my all time fav was winning a 2s match against spriest arcane mage, and the arcane mage insta died when the spriest swapped him :joy:

No it’s just the functionality of the spell. IIRC it’s 35% in PVP or something, but yeah it effectively does overkill damage that can be absorbed. Things like sudden death just bypass mitigation shields.

Yes. It’s based off of actual health and doesn’t factor effective health in, such as shields or life coccoon. Absolutely needs a fix

Would it really have taken that long to Wowhead the spell you’re talking about?

Confirms it’s only 35% of the monks HP and it’s dealing damage. Right now health is around 11mil in PvP. That’s just under 4million damage. I don’t play shaman but isn’t bulwark only like 20% of your HP or something it works out at?

So ToD is working as intended and breaking through the shield and dealing the remaining damage which can kill you.

Sudden Demise however is bugged and doesn’t function like this the way Kill Shot, Execute etc does, and that needs looked at.

Tod is not an instant auto kill mechanic, its just a TON of damage that would almost always kill you.

Sudden demise is a bs talent 100% that goes through absolutely everything (walls shields etc). Sudden demise should be removed

Me too, if it were 3.5M classes with big walls would survive them just fine like a feral in bear with survival instincts up. Its way more than 35%
