Looking forward to SLs, what would be a way for a casual like me to get into arena?
My current thought is:
Play a class with a tank spec to run M+, and once running 10-15s, start funneling gear towards my PvP spec.( current thoughts are DK, DH, BM or Guardian)
once getting gear from above idea, start queuing, to get a second source of gear in the new chest system, and learn to get good =j + vendor now?
If possible find a raiding guild to at least Heroic AOTC level ( I haven’t raided for 3+ yrsso. Or sure how viable this is for me)
As a last resort if there is some amazing trinket or weapon, buy a mythic carry for specific item.
I came back for BfA, mostly for Classic, but with all the Azerites, essences, corruptions, just found it too much to bother with =(
Seems reasonable, although not very “casual”. Tanking ensures fast queue times, but also requires more research (esp in a new expac). It would be great way to gear up, but the hours spent is still significant.
Finding a good guild and making friends seems like the best that you can do. Even if you don’t have time to raid, most large, active guilds will have folks available for mythic +.
Dungeons I can run at my leisure. Casual to me is not having to report for raid duty at specific times constantly, becuase i inevitably am missing raids at a certain % and am considered a baddie. In the past I have done what you suggest…I join an active guid and they eventually need a tank for M+ so they basically carry me quite far before I hit my real skillcap.
I don’t mind tanking and healing, and if PvP healing was even the least bit enjoyable, that would be my route for everything, but I can’t stand it anymore…I don’t like Disc, hate druid (even though it’s fun), and the only healer I kinda like is MW, but they seem pretty lackluster going into SL.
I haven’t read much but am I right in assuming covenants will make me sad i.e if i want to push keys I’m assuming there will be a best covenant for that and a different covenant in pvp? (Assuming the 1 week change limitation stays in place)
Think so…you basically need to decide what you can live with in either play style and hope later it will open up. I find it funny they want to push this on us in a game where you play multiple specs as a standard way.
Makes me think this is thier way of saying “We didn’t include a bunch of timegates”…but they did.
