Throughout classic and TBC one thing is for sure… people will pay good gold for boosts. I’ve made a ton of gold, especially in classic. TBC boosts aren’t as fun. SM and Mara and eventually ZG let you mix it up to not stay bored. The initial rush to 60 on another mage will be a pain but I am excited for a fresh server!
Boosters have to remember to keep a good name in the community. I always give one free run if I wipe twice during any single boost. I’ll do the same on this fresh server.
The problem is that no one is going to have decent gold to pay you, yet. It will take a couple weeks for all of the Chinese bots to get level 60 and start their BRD pick-pocket loops and their over-world farming routines. Raw gold is slow at first due to gear limitations and the more lucrative farms are all AH based which will be anemic for a while.
More likely is that the super try-hard guilds just slam a few mandatory mages to level 60 in like 50 hours and then carry the rest of their raid core through boost runs.
Get to 60 and head back to ZF raw farming 50g per hour. Get epic mount. Start leveling my warrior w/ boosting.
Never level another character just play those 2 and raid log for the entire expac.
Thats my plan.
Think you guys are in for a big surprise when fresh gets released with most likely a fix for boosting with a XP Nerf with 60 in party.
If I were you I would just you know… Try to play the game as it was meant to be played rather than try to cheat your way up.

I hope they implement something like this. I know I wouldn’t be interested in Classic Era again if they didn’t fix a few of these flaws.
Absolutely.
However history has shown that Blizzard seldom does what is good for the game.
In this particular case, I do somewhat disagree based on the fact that they sent out a survey canvassing players on several changes to make Classic better.
They know boosting is a big issue to the community. I would be surprised if they don’t address it.

If boosting isnt removed or nerfed there is no reason for Blizz to release fresh…
I wonder if there will be any classic+ changes on the fresh server that will provide for other classes to get in on the boosting action. Maybe locks or hunters? Guess we will see.
I’m just excited for the Scarab Lord event. My guild along with 4 others plan to sell the title and gank anyone who doesn’t cough up with the dough. Gonna be so fun

LOL so mages make a ton of gold boosting yet have nothing to spend it on six months later when they are on just another dead classic era server with no other players.
