I just reinstalled WoW and all my addons while chasing a bug and forgot to setup my name plates. Joined an arena game and was confronted with the following.
Again, before anyone says anything, I’m running Threat Plates and I usually have these all off, though it takes a bit to setup. There really needs to be more options to distinguish all these summon types. Like Pysfiend Vs a Wild Imp. While I do set all that up with addons, for players who aren’t in the know, this is an extremely frustrating format.
Ignoring that though… why are there so many pets in the game now in general? This was just one Demo lock and one UDK. The screenshot doesn’t even really do it justice. It’s absurd. It’s overkill. Can’t you consolidate some of the damage these pets do? Add in some totems and you might as well forget about landing a trap as a hunter.
Matches like this even force me to turn my game settings down. It’s just so overkill.
Depending on the build even a BM hunter can spawn out 7-8 pets at a time.
And I think it’s great!
Maybe give your visual/addon settings a change?

The whole point of demonology is summoning an army of demons to fight for you.
In no way does demo need less demons.
If anything, it needs more.

Hunter Traps are mostly a thing of the past. Imo an enjoyable thing, but their time is long last now.
As a hunter that can vomit out alot of pets i find it glorious watching peope freak out not knowing what one to get first

Yeah it’s kinda annoying if you aren’t used to handling it. After a while it’s easy to figure out though for my spec, idk about other specs.
I’ve gotten 11 proc’d so far
Yeah I hate it. It is why I can not stand playing Demonology or Unholy. I dont mind one pet that I can control, but having a ton of little minions is annoying.
Other people like seeing their screen flooded with minions, but to me it just looks like clutter. I do not expect it to change. I just try to look passed the clutter.
