The item doesn’t drop from neither the tomes, nor Doomshadow. I have the rest of the Excavator’s set. I have not seen anyone get the hat while digging in a raid group. There’s a ton of characters with the set transmogged on them save for the hat. I’ve yet to see someone have this appearance.
