Okay so, im currently working towards the 100 exalted reputations achievement because i really want that mount.
Well, i don’t really pvp. Like, at all. Is Arathi Basin the only way to get this rep, and roughly how many battlegrounds do i need to do?
The battleground is the only way, it’s a PvP rep. Your rep gain is based on how many points you earn so your mileage varies every battle. But there’s a faster way to get it.
Wait till the Comp Stomp brawl rolls around. It’s a PvE version of Arathi, all you face are NPCs. It’s easy to get constant wins and level the rep quickly with that instead of gambling your fortunes on actual PvP. I think Comp Stomp was delayed till Shadowlands though now that I remember.

Good luck! And I know your pain. I want to get the Silverwing Sentinels done at some point and ugh I just hate it so much every time I try.

If you wait til shadowlands for them to fix comp stomp, that is by far the easiest way to get rep. You should have a 100% win rate in comp stomp since the bots are dumb and queue times were always pretty fast since you aren’t waiting on alliance. The games also usually are 4-5 caps so they end in like 5 minutes.
If you decide to farm regular AB be prepared for extended queue times when specific queueing for AB and probably a 50/50 w/l with long games possible. It’s a pretty painful rep to do the normal way, but is at least faster than it used to be.

Yes. And a lot. To be honest, the bg reputations are the only ones which became harder as time went on because they removed the holiday weekends for those battlegrounds. So reputations became slower. And I say that as someone who grinded out Conqueror back in Wrath.

when you’re at 90+ you have few choices left in the game…
(currently 105 for horde 106 for alliance I think)
yes the only way is pvp or wait for SL for more factions.

Thanks! Ill hold out till comp stomp or i hit 90. Im hoping i can have enough reps exalted that i can skip defilers, ravenholdt, and some other pvp oriented ones.
To be honest, I’d still do it now considering we have nothing going on. And you get a tabard out of it if you do the quest, which is a rare thing. Not a lot of people have that tabard.

I think you might have to do the insane if you don’t want to wait but I’m not fully sure like I said… at some point with that many reps you have and so few left in game you have very few choices left.
Darkmoon faire rep is also something to consider if you want to get the insane while doing the rep grind.

Yeah im slowly working on Darkmoon also, currently at revered. I want the 800 ticket mount anyways lol.
Some of these rep grinds are pretty aweful lmao
they are indeed, I decided to take a break and wait for SL I’m currently at 92… I have no desire to go for the insane achievement at all it was a difficult call but I just don’t see myself grinding or paying 1-2m gold to some rogue for the boxes.

I sat with everything but the rogue boxes complete for 5+ years. Finally broke down and rolled a rogue at the end of Legion and found I actually enjoyed it (I absolutely hate the class fantasy of an assassin). Getting to skip stealth past most of the filler content really helped, I think. You can always use a spare boost if you don’t want to level the rogue though. You don’t need to be anywhere near max level.
Collecting the lock boxes didn’t take too long. At least not compared to what I remember doing for the rest of the achievement.
I’m still missing the WSG rep. I can’t stand that place, and even with the holiday bonuses, it’s a miserably slow grind. (100 rep per flag capped by your team. Only need 420 caps to get to exalted…)

Thankfully i actually have a rogue from wod sitting in her garrison at lvl 100. …i might actually need to dust her off for this!
I have 2 rogues 120 1 of them on a different realm tho.
the issue is that I might actually have to switch to my rogue if I decided to get that insane achivement going since I did loremaster on my main which means I had to do most of winterspring rep with the cartel for the loremaster of the zone.
All of this reminds me I have to get exalted with the bloodsail buccaneers…
lvl 100 is just fine, you need certain level boxes for the ravenholdt rep.
