Do you need exalted rep to learn your own race’s epic riding?? I don’t see epic riding skill available from the dude in Mulgore @ honored w/ TB.
You do not need to be Exalted with your own Race to ride the Epic Mounts. As long as you learned the generic Riding Skill (at level 40) for your Race’s Mounts. You just need the gold to buy the Epic Mount (at level 60). Reputation does count towards a minor discount, if the small margin of a discount matters that much to you via Exalted is 900g. Being Exalted + Rank 3 is 800g.
You only need to be Exalted with a different Race, in order to ride their Mounts. Though, as a Tauren, you might be restricted. IK as Alliance, only Gnomes and Dwarves can ride the Gnome Mounts. No point in being Exalted with the Gnomes, unless you’re seeking “completion” LOL

You’re referring to the beta, I take it? If your toon already had an epic mount (I’m not sure what toon you’re playing over there,) you should already have the training. Otherwise it should be available.
If it’s not working right, maybe open this up under “bug reports?”
