Blizzard is a business. They do whatever will get them money.
Right now, being LGBTQ+ friendly is a good way to get money, so they will be LGBTQ+ friendly.
Just like now they are BLM friendly.
But not Hong Kong basic human rights, anti-concentration camps friendly.

That’s because they are legally allowed to actively support the first two, while they are not legally allowed to support the last one, criminally in China and contractually in the US. That’s kind of an important factor.

If you are ok with signing a contract that prevents you from supporting basic human rights, you’re a morally trash company.

So you think it would be better if all the people in China were just no longer able to play WoW? At least they have some escape. In America, support from private companies can make a difference. In China, they cannot (as far as I know.) So picking their battles makes good sense. I have no problem supporting BLM, but you think I’m gonna go to N. Korea and protest over there? It’s just common sense.

I’ve played SWTOR a lot, but got tired of it and now only play WOW.
I heard someone say a long time ago that SWTOR was “space wow”
but i didn’t understand the reference.

I don’t have an issue with it. I see it as the RP in MMORPG. If each character is going to relive the same story lines, it would be silly if they were called “one of the millions of champions that will be reliving this story.”

If your government being awful causes you to lose some distraction, then the people are more likely to put pressure on the government to stop being awful.
Look what has happened in the US during the time where fewer people were distracted with work and were able to focus on, “Hey, the police can be pretty awful!”

WoW has been taking from Diablo since the beginning. The entire talent tree system was based on D2’s talent tree system including the 3 specs.

WoW, a lot SWG refugees here it seems.

I remember coming over to WoW after the NGE hit and was astounded with how much everything just worked. SWG was such amazing game despite spending about as much time working around bugs as playing the game.

Pie in the sky, “here just take my money” product for me, Sandbox MMO with SWG style professions, crafting and player created economy called StarCraft Universe.
