Evoker's sustainability

i honestly struggle with survability in this game when it comes to evokers. I take to much damage in dungeons / world content (especially world content). My healing as devestation / aug doesn’t feel great. I take so much damage from mobs, and i’m just like why does this class suck so much in solo content?

Is it possible we can get a buff to survabillity outside instance combat or something? Perhaps triple the benefits of Tempered Scales outside pvp combat?

Maybe don’t solo as augmentation? Devastation destroys stuff in a few seconds.

I usually solo / play in devestation and only do aug in dungeons. But regardless of the spec evokers have to be the squishiest and easiest class killed.

Evokers don’t lack sustainability in open world content, you just have to use defensives well.

They also blast things down very quickly as long as you have even a little gear.

World content isn’t challenging enough because everything dies within five seconds anyway.

It’s only an issue if people try to solo stuff meant for 5+ people. That’s kinda relegated to the realm of tanks.

You just have to kite mobs around. We can’t just face tank everything.

Kinda of hard to do that when no one is in old content, i dont have this issue either with hybrids like Druids, paladins and monks :frowning:

I’m 445 and still die trying to solo some elite mobs in the caverns. The djaradin are annoying cause they put something on you to make you take more damage / stun.

yeah, those rares with the star and silver dragon image on them showing up on the map, my evoker gets destroyed, sometimes even with one healer buddy. But my paladin even at lvl 63 (now 65, idk why its not updating) soloed one.

The biggest issue is that evokers are great at kiting and a lot mobs just can’t be kited.

It’s also not intended to be soloed.

You’ll have similar issues on a rogue, mage, shadow priest?

Not sure how the bar for sustainability is ability to solo thoughts that aren’t designed to be solod by every class/spec.

Wait… aug evoker is the most tankiest evoker spec how are you dying? between blistering scales giving you massive absorbs and sands of time giving you insane amounts of vers how are you dying? when soloing grab reactive hide armor and overlord insteade of prescience and mirror

This is my evoker, and when i try things like the mini torghast area with all the dragons, arcane elementals and such that give those power ups, to the fire dragon event of getting ingots to unlock the treasure and the rares / mini bosses. I get flattened / curbstomped against these foes solo, and struggle with a preservation evoker friend healing me.

Have you tried pulling less mobs or has your friend actually tried healing?

I mean more times than not i don’t die, but the amount of damage i’m taking from shadowflame abilities to auto attacks is quite ridiculous. On top of that it seems outside of druids every other class that has a hybrid healing spec can heal more than evokers :frowning:

Cobalt Assembly is just one shotting mobs with only a few abilities.

On top of that, you’re talking about trying to solo group elite content at ilvl 396. You can get much higher than that with pretty minimal work, and outdoor activities become much easier.

This is a skill issue, especially when talking about open world stuff

Rogues do the samething? Along with infinite resets xd I played a rogue @ 2.2k+ CR. Elementals will do the same thing.
