Evokers stay in combat in M+ after death so can’t fly/mount or do anything after death. Even worse in ruby as you can’t take the dragon after first boss until the pack dies again.
Another evoker bug is sometimes the game reads that you don’t have enough essence even tho it shows you have enough to cast Pyre/disinter and it you can’t cast anything for like 10 GCDs unless you LF/Azure to stop it. Well known bug in evoker community also.
Can we look into this? Been trying to push some 20 keys on my Devastation Evoker and feels like if I have fire breath up on an add and I die then release, I’m stuck in combat. Sucks so much in dungeons like Nokhud where I can’t fly and go back to team. Bumping this for broader team to know too. Don’t think I’m the only one.
Bumping this thread for visiting.
Bumping thread again. It’s happened to me since the start of the expac. Please take a look at this. I can’t be the only evoker experiencing this.
given how often the “stuck in combat” bug seems to happen, blizzard should probably give every class an instant drop aggro button of sorts or something. because getting stuck at the entrance of nokhud unable to mount for 2 minutes really screws with trying to time a key ya know?
Is it happening across other classes too? I know it’s most prominent from my Devastation Evoker since it seems to happen constantly. Haven’t seen my teammates/groupmates in party experience that when they die.
Seriously, this is so infuriating, and it seems to be happening a lot more recently. Please look into and fix this.
Yea, i have been experiencing this a lot in m+. Def Ruby pools… i dont know how many times ive posted to the group i cant get back up after releasing because being stuck in combat, i got stuck at court of stars the imposter demon where you die and you cant release until about 20-30s after combat.
I thought it was lag but seeing this post its starting to add up.
Bumping this thread on my main dragon as well. Fix being combat after release on death. Usually main culprits are I have fire breath dot up on adds. It doesn’t ever happen on boss deaths, only adds. Really annoying not being able to fly back to team on Nokhud, Ruby, etc.
Happened to our DPS evoker yesterday in Nokud Offensive resulting in a very long walk back to the group.
Kind of a fix: After all previously tagged mobs were gone, type “/reload” cleared the in-combat restriction and allowed the player to mount.
Yeah it just sucks because sometimes we want to continue the pull on like 20+ keys. When I die, I’d like to join the team ASAP to not throw the key. The alternative fix you mentioned would require us to just wipe it and wait for tagged mobs to reset which sucks and isn’t what we’d want.
Hope Blizz looks at this closely.
Regularly have both of these issues happening, hella annoying
Bumping thread and hope this gets a look at. It seems like it’s a pretty recurring issue across multiple players who play dracthyr
Happens to me too both as Pres and Dev. It’s terrible on NO and RLP.
This is driving me batty. In Nokkhud Offensive, I’m having to RUN half the way to the battle spot because, after dying, I’m stuck in combat it seems and I can’t mount. I’ve had people swoop in and try to get me on as a passenger and I can’t do that either. Can you PLEASE fix this issue, Blizzard!!!
From what I can tell it happens because when you release “Visage” is very, very temporarily applying to your teammates… counting you as engaged, leaving you stuck at entrance in combat.
The only way I’ve fixed this is to disable Visage entirely for the dungeon.
Ive had this happen on my Hunter and I DO have a drop aggro button but Feign Death did nothing - was still stuck in combat at the bottom of RLP staring at the drake I couldnt take back up.
It’s now June… and this is still a bug… so friggen annoying in RLP and NO
This issue appears to be tied to a Flame Breath DoT still being on a target when you release. That DoT ticking after you’ve released puts you back in combat. When I’ve released with no DoT still up, I haven’t experienced the issue. Sounds like other classes can also see the issue if their DoTs are still up when they release.
Still a bug :< released in Algathar’s Academy today, we ended up wiping, and all the mobs snapped to the entrance (they were low enough to kill, but caused a few extra deaths). I’ll be going back to mage in War Within since this doesn’t seem like it will be fixed… ever.
