People asked for dragons and for some reason we had to compromise with a thin Lizard Hybrid.
What is next at this point? Instead of Ogres, we’ll get slightly taller out of shape Orcs? Can we stop compromising with players and instead deliver something that people ask for in terms of races?
On the point of Evokers, they should be taller and have the option of being bulkier. What we have is a skinny lizard edged out in height by Zandalari Trolls and Classic Trolls when standing upright.
Additionally, the fire breath animation doesn’t look good. It looks like some Disney-esque pastel mist. Can we have an actual channeled fire breath like a real dragon?
All they really need is mogging. I can’t get excited for a character who can’t use what is more or less the primary reward system for the game.
Also I wouldn’t complain if they just added playable Drakonid for the people who want chad dragons. (as long as they can mog too).
Oh and to address the OP’s usual clown takes, nobody was ever going to get full playable dragons. Like, that was obvious from the get-go. Dracthyr are fine.
Evoker should have been a class available to every race, with whatever race you pick serving as your visage form while Dracthyr form was a shapeshift activated in combat like druid forms.
I love my Dracthyr. Looks cool in both forms. I don’t care if the transmog is mostly only visible in visage form. Alexstrasza doesn’t wear a bikini in dragon form, either.
Also, the dracthyr form is very tall, and the visage form is normal human height – not short.
