Evoker spells can’t reach Nalak. He’s out of range.

Just found this out this morning as well. I can see some spells become available if I jump/glide in the right spot but it happens too quickly to actually be able to cast anything.
Ive tried every combination, Evoker cannot reach Nalak lol
I was wondering where the deliberate choice of designing a “short-ranged caster DPS” would come back to bite. This would be one example.

Found that you are able to use the Battle Horn toy to aggro him.

I am doubtful. I have seen evokers in the world killing flying birds.
just adding to this, nalak spawns more than 25 yards up and no evoker ability can reach him. (i assume the same is true for outlaw rogues, since pistol shot is also 25 yard range only, but my outlaw rogue is on a high pop server and there’s always someone there to pull for her).
i had to use a fruit basket toy from warlords of draenor to pull him, lol.

Too add onto this it could also end up being a problem in Dragonflight remember doing a quest in Ohn’ahran plains on Beta where I had to kill some birds literally had to run around trying to get perfect positioning to get them.
Like this is an urgent issue that needs resolving.

Go to the top of the stairs that are opposite side of raid entrance.
Run towards nalak and jump at the edge of the top stair and immediately use hover twice then u can tag it with any of your 25yd range ability
Put myself directly underneath the star on the minimap and casted Oppressing Roar, worked no issue.
I put in a bug report. I also tried the Red Rider Rifle (had to go buy the stupid thing too) and that didn’t work because Nalak was out of range for that too. I think I have the Battle Horn toy, I KNOW I have the fruit basket toy, so I will try those, but still this needs fixing.
Either let us fly on that island or give Evokers a longer-ranged spell.
get the heart of azeroth with the first essence, crucible of flames as a major. aslo works for warriors, rogues, i even use it con my paladin

Does swapping to Preservation for the extra 5 yards help here?
I still lug that thing around on half my characters for the quick boss heal in ice crown, can’t believe i didn’t think of this. Thank you!
LIFESAVER. It’s such an oversight / bad decision to not even allow them to get a tag in 40 yards.
