Hi, I made an evoker class for fun and i wanna know what the best spec for leveling 60-70 would be? Ideally later on, i wanna try healing when i hit 70. Let me know thank ya kindly.
Devastation if you’ll only do world content. Healer or augmentation if you plan to grind dungeons. Evoker doesn’t have any tank spec.

Ahhh okay, i didn’t know that … I thought Augmentation was like a dps spec idk what that one entails haha.
If you want to eventually heal, I would spend at least some of the leveling time as Preservation. You don’t want to do 60-70 as DPS then swap to healing when it really matters.
Augment is a support spec. You buff others so they do more damage.

Augmentation is Blizzard’s attempt at making a Support spec. It does less DPS overall, but throws out buffs on the rest of the party to make them heal more, dps more, or tank more.
I leveled as Preservation. It may take a little longer but I enjoyed it more than Devastation and I liked healing myself and others I ran across. I level by questing so if you like dungeons you may want something different.

So from a leveling perspective Devastation has your quick clears but also suffers from being a full on glass cannon a lot of the time. Aug has less overall damage but does have some solid defensive and healing choices that can help smooth out viability. Preservation will have the least damage output but still does enough on top of the strongest healing output on yourself.
Yea, a leveling Evoker is a little bit squishy, so be forewarned. But they can hit above their weight.
