Evoker Healer?

Hello everyone! I am returning after quite a while and was trying to decide between healers. I’m open to all, but was mostly deciding between Pally, Shaman, or Evoker. How are they in 2v2s, M+, and Raids? Is it worth investing in? Thanks!

Preservation is interesting. It has short range but incredible mobility, and relies heavily on steadily rotating out large cooldowns. Burst healing is great, but it takes some setup. I find it rather complex.

It’s quite useful in raids, very good in M+ (unless things have changed since I last played), and decently competitive in PvP. Its main weaknesses are a minimal amount of CC and personal defensives outside of sheer maneuverability.

It’s fun and worth trying, but expect something very different to most healers.

Preservation is excellent in m+ and raids. I can’t really speak for pvp but I imagine they’re good there too.

They do however only have a 25 yard range on most of their spells, but if you can get used to that then you’re good to go.

They are exceptional healers with a focus on large, burst heals with short cooldowns. It takes some getting used to with the shorter range and cone spells, but its fast fun and very strong.

In arenas they are decent, not quite the best but I wouldn’t say the worst. M+ they are exceptionally strong. Their bursty style kit makes it one the friendliest pug healers I’ve played (and i’ve played every healer to some extent in high level content) and it does exceptional damage for not much effort, making timing keys easier. In Raids, they do some major HPS, and have some unique utility that’s not always good but can be in the right circumstances.

In my opinion they are just a better version of what resto shaman tries to be. Down to wearing the same kind of armor and having access to bloodlust. Excellent support class to switch to, if you ever dps.

Tldr; Yeah I think it’s worth investing. Powerful class in the right hands but not #1 in anything imo.
