Evoker flight help

New player need help. Playing the evoker and just hit level 20. Before level 20 all i had to do was use soar. Then i could use surge forward and skyward ascent and use that flight like normal. But after level 20 i cant do that anymore. My character just flys around now. how do i use those abilities again?

I don’t know. Until a couple of days ago, there were no Dracthyr below level 60.

There have been problems with flying since the patch. Blizzard are on it, but as always with a new patch, expect some glitches:

So all I can do is suggest some questions to ask.

There is a button called Skyriding just right of center on the top bar of your mounts page. It is meant to allow you to toggle betwen skyriding and regular flight. Can you do something with that?

Are you levelling through Dragonflight? Have you done the Dragonflying quest chain yet?

Those buttons are not there in my spell book or in my mount page. Ive seen photos of what its supposed to look like but its just not there for me. But yeah ive been leveling through dragon flight. And yes. Soar just goes into static flying now instead of the glide/flying function.

If you never did the Dragonflight quests for skyriding (formerly dragonriding) I think it can be buggy. You can try questing in the Dragon Isles and you’ll get to those quests fairly quicky. You could also try making a remix character. The skyriding quests are pretty early on. The hope is that doing those things might trigger whatever flag is wonky. If it doesn’t work, you’ll have to wait for a fix from Blizzard.

But definitely try taking the character to the Dragon Isles, as that’s the most likely thing that will trigger it.

do u have any mount ? u get some on the Dracthyr starting zone , so i guess thats yes

Because SOAR isnt a mount , is a racial , so if u dont have bought any mount , try to buy 1 and see if u can get the button to change from static to dragonriding.

Skyriding is the default flight form, u dont get static flying until 20 (u are 21 so u should have learned it already)
