What cosmological stuff I’m reading doesn’t give me any clues. I figure it might be a primal connection or the dragons represent each side as in water dragon, air dragon, fire dragon, decay (could be evil), life dragon…etc

Oh yes, I wasn’t meaning to disagree. Sorry, I just realised it read as me trying to refute your point. I was just saying that while they are elemental creatures at their heart, the Titans made it weird.
As for the cosmological chart, I don’t see why it’s an issue. They’re still pulling from unique sources. Blue Dragon magic is arcane, Green Dragon magic is life, etc. It seems to me like they’re kind of a scaly Captain Planet.
