Evoker cant kill Nalak

Hello any who read this! Today I discovered that Evokers can’t kill Nalak without someone else in the party. This is due to the fact that he is too high in the air for them to cast any spells at and they dont have a taunt. And since hes on the Isle of Thunder trying to aggro him using soar is out of the question. I hope people see this so they can fix this actually very serious problem by either lowering where he is in the sky or giving evokers some sort of way to pull him down.

They must give us at least 1 spell to 40 yards.
Best would be living flame

We do. It’s called deep breath.

Thats ground. You cant target in sky

Definitely would be nice to have a 40yd range spell, even if it’s something of pathetic damage just for being able to tag/aggro things that are high up. ie Monks have crackling jade lightning, warriors have the little axe toss etc. Maybe it can be called like ‘Spark’ or something and it’s just a little bip of fire

Can you use soar to fly into aggro range?

Soar only works in areas you can fly. You can’t fly in Isle of Thunder.

ahh good to know, thanks

I literally just tried to get him and no one was there to pull him down… :frowning:

Like I actually felt pathetic trying to reach him.
Like I was a toddler trying to get something from a moderately high-up surface.

This is funny af, the fact that warriors have more range then evokers just shows how much clowning around bliz is doing.

With a shorter cast time pleaseeee spamming that to heal is annoying AF

You could get an item that can cast at 40yd. Can’t really think of many off hand but something like the mechangon quest trinket with the cyclonic blast mod or an engineering rocket belt or something?

Just swap to preservation, which puts living flame at a 30 yard range.

While this is a solution, I think “swap specs to use a talent to pull a mob every other spec in the game can grab” highlights how clownish the situation is.

its 1 mob from 5 expansions ago, don’t be ridiculous.

The whole situation is ridiculous. That’s why it’s funny.

It’s almost like the game isn’t designed around “mid ranged” casters so adding them to the game was a short sighted gimmick that added nothing interesting or beneficial.

Hey just curious, but would the Red Rider Air Rifle toy aggro Nalak? I’m not sure on the range and can’t try it myself atm to test but I could have sworn I remember using it to tag something back in the day.

Long shot (ha) but might work if it’s a 40 yd range.

Edit: Nope, it shares the base range of the rest of your spells. Was worth a try.

I’ve managed to nab him as Devastation by simply gliding off the stairs nearby and using x2 charges of Hover to get close enough to pop an Azure Strike to aggro him. But I agree that it’s a right pain otherwise to engage that world boss.

You can tag the boss by standing under it, jumping and while mid jump, clicking “Oppressing Roar” in Devastation spec.
