Been playing TW: Warhammer 3 a lot here recently and the chaos dwarves just recently came out. Man these guys put the Dark Iron to shame. I’d like to see Blizz’s take on another faction of evil dwarves and maybe even a dwarven themed raid.

I was on the fence about buying that DLC. Worth getting?
Anyways. If you roll Horde all Dwarfs are evil.

Oh I remember seeing that trailer a while back. Really damn cool.
I mean, dark irons used to be that kind of thing. Sort of. But people wanted them playable so they had to become nice.

I don’t own the DLC but my friend and I have been playing a multiplayer campaign him as the chaos dwarves and me as grimgore. I haven’t gotten to mess with them much but I’ve watched his units in action. Zooming in and seeing their gnarly grins, blackened eyes, and just unleashing a volley of ammo was something else.
I know they softened the Dark Iron. At some point during the saga I’d love to see a faction of gnarly dwarves who embraced the void and have been amassing arms, sorta like the Iron Horde in WoD, just dwarves instead of orcs. I would even been okay with the idea they were just normal dwarves who are just evil and have their own agenda.
BRD was the last time we got anything like that.
I guess you could count Blackwing Descent as well, even though only one of the bosses, Magmatron, was dwarven-themed.

Chaos Dwarves are an extremely diverse, powerful, and fun army. Like normal dwarves, they have extremely tanky ground troops (melee and ranged) with very powerful armor-piercing ranged weapons, as well as some of the best artillery in the game. Unlike normal dwarves, they also have a couple tiers of expendable chaff units (hobgoblins), some very heavy (if a little slow) cavalry units in the bull centaurs, and good damage-dealing magic units, including a single entity power ranger hell-mech that rips a lot of other single entities to shreds. (edit: also actual magic-using heroes, not just runesmiths)
Of course, since the LATEST dlc, regular dwarves now have the most powerful unit that’s ever been put in the game with their flying battleship thing.
