Everything on Hotbars Keeps Getting Cleared

Having this same issue…everything just disappears

Put in a ticket and these are the steps from Blizzard, getting ready to test this out and will report back:

1. Delete CurseForge or WoW Matrix if you have them installed.
2. Close down WoW if it’s still running.
3. Head to your World of Warcraft folder (look for -Retail_ or choose Classic if it’s happening there). (Shortcut: Right-click the WoW icon, choose Open File Location)
4. Delete these two folders: WTF, Cache.
5. Rename Interface to Interface.old (This keeps your addons safe but takes them out of the game temporarily for testing).

If you get an error while deleting or modifying these folders, just restart your computer to finish uninstalling CurseForge/WoW Matrix.

So one thing I noticed right after loading in, is that right before I can see UI, there’s a sound effect that happens. It’s the same effect when you move a spell on a hotbar.

This doesn’t happen on characters that are fine, only this one with the empty hotbar bug.

Didn’t work for me either. Frustrating!!

there might be a file in a folder that has the “Read Only” flag that needs to be removed… read only means the file cannot be modified by a program or a game

Go into your Talents (N key)
Reset Both Sides
Just pick the Starter Build
Test by putting a spell on a hotbar
Logout/Login
FIXED!

I had this issue on a new Dracthyr. If you don’t get far enough into the tutorial zone to get your talents, your bars will wipe every time you log out. Once I got far enough to pick a spec, it stopped doing it.

Can you elaborate what “this” is for others who are having the same problem?

What do you mean by “reset on both sides”? I don’t see any reset buttons.

That sound is the ‘ability grabbed from bar’ but might also simultaneously be ability placed/dropped

Press N for your Talents UI
Bottom middle of that window is a red circle with a line through it, click it
The Reset Talents window pops up, pick All
Now Bottom left, pick Starter Build or create your own loadout
