At the start of the season, things went so well. Now everything is just overtuned to high hell and back. I don’t expect things to be easy, but it shouldn’t feel so punishing missing out on a week of keys because I had real life stuff I needed to take care of. Out of all the dungeons, Brackenhide Hollow feels the most overtuned since most people don’t even want to queue up for it. I dunno what y’all are thinking when it comes to the dungeons when y’all had it down for Shadowlands. If I had to diagnose the problem it would be too much change.
Quite literally one of the most free keys. If you get through first boss, you win.
Braken is one of the easiest dungeons in the game…
Also SL was soo insanely easy in season 2 3 and 4 to the point it was braindead.
That is horrible for m+, healers could essentially afk it was so easy.
You don’t have the right diagnoses here.
The correct diagnose is you and your skill level.
You think you should be somewhere else (presumably higher keys) but your skill level is having you exactly the key range you’re meant to be at until you improve.
If you strictly pug, then sure, it’s not all on you and it takes some RNG to roll into a good pug and time keys but the key range you’re doing currently (sub 19s) nothing is overtuned for being the appropriate ilvl
Pugging is starting too get on my nerves though man.
It feels like once u get too the 20s people just have no clue what they are doing at all.
Ive actually tried around 40 20s the last few weeks but either we get hard blocked on a boss because healers cant heal or a dps gets pissy and leave.
Dragonflight is the first time I’ve really taken content seriously, particularly M+ so I don’t have comments on it compared to shadowlands. But atm Brakkenhide feels like one of the easier dungeons, at least on fort. And the big pulls on top of that make it fun for a dps at least. Though my bdk alt gets hit hard by everything on fort. That’s just how it is. It’s fine until purgatory is on cd.
Though I also agree with Natina. I only pug and will continue doing so even above 20s but it is wild how many people in 20+ are still clueless. It’s hard to tell what is genuinely overtuned and what is caused by people being dumb. Though I would never do nelth’s lair without at least 2 poison dispells. Naraxas is still insane if you let all those dots tick.
The key to brackenhide first boss is spend 70% of your mana and all of your cooldowns until gnashbutt is dead then literally no damage happens.
Ive seen groups do Tricktotem first because her earth bolts are causing more damage on Tyrannical keys.
Unsure if killing Tricktotem or Gnash first is the way to go.
Oh yeah, pugging is probably the worst I’ve seen it since bfa. I think it’s mostly people getting to max ilvl for the season (or very close to it) so early into a season alot of pugs are in keys they have no business being in
You can kick all of Tricktotem’s casts. You can’t stop Gnashblade, you have to eat all that damage. Though once you get to 20+ on tyran… Well I’ll see next week what that looks like. Maybe you’re correct. Maybe it depends on comp?
Either way, I still see people stand in and die to the bladestorm in my keys and I don’t know how to process that.
I still think DF is way overturned for healers. This needs to be fixed. I don’t even want to gear my healers for this season.
Honestly, just allow the 5% of players who are good enough, do 20’s and stop there and allow the 0.1 MDI type to push 25+ for clout.
“We don’t want healing to be so spiky.”
*Increases mob damage by 25%.
Good job there blizz, really thought that through. That extra HP sure evens out that big fat black eye you popped on healers.
M+ is in a terrible spot RN. Healers are hosed, dungeons are wildly out of wack from a difficulty standpoint.
Comp is more important then ever.
If you’re not in coordinated group, forget it.
Most people I know are completely over it.
Also, halls of infusion and VP should go away and never come back.
I used to heal keys for “fun” Id do the same key multiple times. Now I heal a key to time it then move on.
Yeah, the current balance team treats this game like it should be hard work instead of fun.
I wouldn’t want to be a healer right now. At higher keys, stuff is insane. It’s not a good sign when you seriously consider taking a priest every run just so your party has more stamina. It’s a sign of overtuning.
is it possible you’re just underskilled?
Then you haven’t done this dungeon with lack of burst damage.
I can think of a way to avoid this problem…
There are only a few things I can think of that are actually overtuned:
Neltharus timer is too short
Halls of infusion balls need to have a cooldown on their beam the pack of 3 in particular can just nuke a dps instantly
Naraxas and pelters in neltharions lair (I havent done neltharions lair in a while so correct me if im wrong)
Thats all I can think of aside from that everything is fine
