Don’t get mad at him because you’re leveling your neck the stupidest possible way you can.

I ALSO have 3 toons at max level on their necks. One is a Maghar warrior and i rolled my DH AFTER him. Instead of doing every wq and grinding Island expeditions until you burn out like Nadirah did, be smart. Plan your play time around the biggest gains for the least time.

I only did emissaries when i could AT LEAST get a 2 for 1. Doing Champions quests in Kul’Tiras when the Honorbound emissary is also up for example. Or champions quests in Nazmir when both champs and talanji’s emissaries are up. When i could, i’d get 3 for 1, by ALSO doing the incursion at the same time. Those quests normally give better rewards too AND count as Honorbound quests+the zone they’re in.

I did ONLY enough islands to max out my weekly. I ran my table quests with the phone ap. I did 1 +10 or higher on each toon every week. (Most weeks anyways) The biggest and best sources of AP. Current played time on my DH at max level is only 22 hrs 11 minutes as of today.

Play smarter, not longer.

I stopped caring about that stupid necklace long ago. It is one of the single worst ideas they have ever come up with in this game.

Then again, I spend more time in old content and here than BFA. (shrugs)

Actually I am not at level 50 with any of my alts or main. I have switched mains because I could not get into mythics/raids or because I wanted to tank/heal/dps. I can not stand doing islands. They are just horrible. I can not stand doing mythics + all the time because I only receive the stupid Azerite. I can do some dailies if receiving mats and stuff, which I have done several. The Azerite grind to get to 50 is horrible. I think I have only made it to 42 with my main or alt, or whatever. I really do not keep up with the Azerite garbage.

With all the AK, doesn’t the Heart only take 1000 ap per level up til like 35? Then it starts increasing 30% each level, and doesn’t hit 10k ap per level until 44. Now putting all your hyperbole aside, doing daily emissaries and the [heroic] weekly islands quest you’ll get minimum 6200 ap weekly, if absolutely nothing else – and more likely closer to 9-10k depending how many of those emissaries are AP only. Not to mention how much AP you’ll already have gotten doing quests to reach 120 from whatever your alt(s) are now, so you’re not going to be starting at HoA level 1 when you hit 120.

Because of AP catch ups its really quick to get alts up to mid 40 in AP levels.

You can likely get a fresh toon to cap and reach 45 with very little effort.

Asking players to report their time played proves nothing.

An alt you capped last week can have the same neck level as a character you’ve played daily from launch.

Time played is irrelevant.

I’m uneducated, because I literally don’t care anymore. Is this a thing?

Yeah, me too. I got 50 on this character by accident. Doing stuff to get a number on an item you can’t even see is really boring…

It really depends on how you do it. My newest monk is 28 hours played and with a lvl 47 neck but I did a lot of other things on it. I am pretty sure even at the pace I am going I will be 50 with less than 40 hours played.

That’s a recent thing, for the first nine months you basically had to grind to keep up and use traits that were essentially mandatory to do well.

Why, why do people honestly think they need to Max their HoA on every damn alt?

I have 15 120’s. Only 2 are past lvl 30. Don’t hurt yourself over something that won’t even matter in the future OP.

Just play in your own pace and not worry about catching up, the game is much better that way.

Some people have a faster pace than you, also - once again, key abilities are going to be locked behind azerite levels, just not the armor traits.

To answe your question, this character hit the 50 cap on monday and had been at 120 for 8 days or so before that. I gpt the cap purely through do world quests amd 4 heroic islands per week.

Can’t log on right now but iirc played time at cap is around 2 days, and a good half of that is either being afk and chatting to people, another third is doing non-ap related activities (mog runs etc) so in total I’d guess around 10 hours will get you from 1-50 and all of that was with warmode off.

So you are either lazy or trolling.

EDIT: this is the third character i have with a 50 neck, and all my other capped alts (6 of them) are at 40 or higher without doing much of anything with them.

There isn’t enough content to level it that much in that amount of time, even if you include two island weeklies. It’s not nearly as hard to cap now as before, but don’t lie about it.

I said it was a guess. I was averaging around 3.5k a day from world quests, before emissary rewards, and had 4 of the 1500 ap emissary rewards. I did the whole war campaign which is somewhere around the 10k mark, give or take, which also got me enough rep that i ended up with 2 paragon chests from honorbound which is another 5k. 3.4k from the island weeklys and i got lucky with the bonus missions being azerite ones which got me another 6k because i got the bonus reward for both of them.

So yeah i had a fair bit of help from RnG, and it might have been closer to 15 hours, i wasnt keeping track that closely.

This discussion is originally around alts, not mains.

It’s silly to assume everything should be handed to our alts right away.
