Everyone's predictions were correct about the season

Season three launches November 7th, right after blizzcon like everyone predicted.

Bye, new Uldaman dungeon, hopefully see you never again but I know you and the other df dungeons are probably coming back for season 4

That is something I’m very curious about personally, I’m curious if they gave us a shorter expansion due to the Microsoft acquisition, or if their planning to do fated raids moving forward as a cheaper copout for season 4. Fine they don’t have to invest anything into make a new zone and raid, and can just recycle the content for a few months through the fates affixes.

The patch drops on 7th
New season on 14th tho

I mean TBF it is a new season, or at least post season given the 7th-14th will be the post season until the proper season launches on the 14th.

Everyone keeps saying shorter expansion when reality it is just an expansion with consistent content instead of 7+ month droughts

I hope 11.0 is fast as well year and a half expansions sounds great

Well, when you look at past expansions excluding WoD and SL’s, there was four seasons that each lasted 6-7 months at a time, which is the same track DF has been following. Yet with more minor patches instead of only have one major and minor patch each season. Given a key thing people keep forgetting is that the expansion isn’t even a year old yet, it feels like it is due to the rapid pace of content being added, yet a full year hasn’t even elapsed so far for the expansion. In fact these seasons have been shorter than usual so far, by like a month to a couple weeks.

Personally I’d rather another raid tier over constantly repeating mindless grind content every middway patch :stuck_out_tongue:

Ehh you’ll get fated raids in like February and 11.0 by May.

They’ll save the summer release for diablo 4 first expansion

What? No. S3 will end in April or maybe early May and we will get fated raids from May until November.

Why would S3 only be 3 months when the standard is 6?

I’m hoping for a 4th raid tier, but with them adding the Aotc mount I’m not sure it’s coming.

Blizz has been pretty split between having 3 or 4 raid tiers. I’d say Legion and BFA are the only 2 with really 4 new tiers since the other expansion is Wrath which did a big copy/paste job with Naxx (art assets are the lions share of the work). Not to mention a pretty art asset slacking tier 9 (ToC).

So I’m not sure if 3 or 4 raid tiers is considered the norm (of course I’d prefer 4).

Fated raids are meh, tbh. Same fights, just now there’s something you need to kill / dispel / stand in that appears every now and then.

I’m not sure it’s gonna be shorter, maybe just heavily front loaded. I guess we’ll know after blizzcon.

So… mythic plus but raid?

Yeah. That’s how SLs season 4 worked…

I know. That’s what fated is.

Ah pki, I started playing in legion so four was the norm to me personally. I think four is a good amount too, given it allows for a lot of story and plot development, but I imagine wet about to get a void expansion if iridikron isn’t resolved.

If blizzard big reveal is we get an expansion next year that’s incredibly lame especially when people want to get out of Dragonflight.

I can imagine it now

" y’all get out of Dragonflight next year, enjoy the next 12 months suckers"

Well, that’s exactly what they are going to announce, so you might as well prepare yourself for the disappointment.

There is no reason to expect them to break the 2 year x-pack cycle at this point.

More or less, yes. No timed component, though, and doing the “new mechanics” right gives you temporary damage and stat boosts, because Blizzard knows top end raiders are all about getting the big parse numbers. So, it’s pretty boring imo.
