Everyones going to Pagle

Grobb’s raiding scene is dead, although the server itself is not dead.

Its weird but probably the result of a long trend of people going to Grobb for the pvp while raiders were leaving it

Same reason why they forced Emerald Dream to have war mode. Because every other server by then was monofactional in retail, or at least not really balanced like ED.

Emerald Dream later would shrink as a result, as the only thing that made it unique was killed.

And locking the server so that nobody can join it.

That’s death row.

It is literally go to the megaserver (and rename all your characters - say goodbye to your story/rebuild your guild from scratch/lose all related achievements) or die with the server.

why aren’t pve servers more populated in other versions of classic then? the pvp megaservers are the most popular.

Speak for yourself. I’m 100% going to Grobb. I want to world PvP and PvP. I can’t do world PvP on Pagle.

Pagle makes the most sense. Even in the blue post it was reluctantly admitted its the sure thing and that the only way Grobb is wobbly standing now is by forcing people that simply want equal opportunity to not even have the option to leave. Then also admitting they may open it up later.

Speak for yourself. Any 90 who ganks me is gonna have the tables flipped on them.

And yet the two highest population Anniversary servers are PVP, and the only truly surviving Classic Era server is PVP.

My guild is leaning towards Grobb, but are going to wait a couple weeks to see the data.

I (the best druid on Benediction) am going to Grobb

I’m not surprised lol. The dev was right when he said no one was on the 99%/1% pop pvp servers to actually PvP. It was just PvE servers with a PvP bow on top

Horde Bene is going to Grobb. Roughly 500-1000 people most likely being added.

I was on Horde Bene to maximize the PvP experience, and there’s been a lot of people hitting it up lately. I think you’ll be surprised how many people end up funneling into Grobb when no other option is available. I don’t know just how much that ends up being in the long run, but we’ll see.

War mode is literally just typing /PvP on a PvE server. Only difference is being able to see the non flagged people.

They didn’t give us anything. Grobb was already well established, and self balanced. Blizzard was not at all responsible for Grobb’s success, all blizzard did was nuke any other option from being viable.

Their server has been the one active balanced PvP server for as long as I can remember. Only makes sense to funnel in the rest of the PvPers there, though I don’t know how many that will end up being.

Removing PvP servers destroyed my desire to ever play retail again.

I HATED this… Even when it was chars on my own account. Leveling my alt, alt gets ganked, log onto main… Main is in different shard. GG. Or there’s a raid group invading a town? forms my own raid group to fight them off… Right as we’re about to engage, phased to a different shard with no enemy raid group there. Awful stuff.

No it means they phased to a different shard without necessarily unflagging.

Also allows you to turn off PvP for alts, which results in avoiding some of the most satisfying revenge PvP you can get with your main.

This mentality is kinda funny to me. Wouldn’t it be more of a flex to go somewhere unideal and still make it work? I personally found it rather satisfying to be in the raid group, and the guild leader of the only horde guild on Bene to complete all the raids. Only pulled off a few bosses on heroic, but isn’t part of the fun of the game to have a challenge?

I’m going to Galakras.

Imagine thinking clearing raids was some impossible task if you’re not on a server designated for PVE or with a high enough population. They clear raids here on Faerlina on Alliance despite being 1% of the population.

They were balanced at 1 point.

Can’t blame people for leaving when it’s 90/10 lmao, that’s not a pvp server anymore.

Blizzard is to blame for all this, now all of a sudden they can balance pvp.

Did the recruitment challenge on Whitemane when it was 95/5 Horde.

Not worth the headache.

I’m 16/16H and that wouldn’t happen on Grobb, unless I could join the only raid team on the entire server that does this, which is likely a no because I have odd raid times I can make.

You’re so close to becoming anti-layers

Sure, Classic was, not MoP Classic though.

I was anti-layers during beta testing weekends before launch in 2019… but there’s no way they’re moving everyone to just one server and then removing layers :frowning:

:woman_shrugging:

The funny part is grob frequently hits 4 layers despite its garbage population size

Its actually so bad that they cant even offer the raiders the ability to transfer off without it ending up floating face down in the river.

Let that sink in. If choice is avaliable it dies. Is that a good server?
