True. If reproduction worked in WoW the way it does in real life (through genetics) it would pooooossibly make sense for orcs and ogres, since they have a shared ancestor, as well as trolls and elves, since they have a shared ancestor. Draenei and Humans are both weird outliers here, since they’re foreign species with no shared lineage. I could even forgive humans, since who knows what kind of weird stuff happens as a result of the Curse of Flesh. No word on the deep history of draenei, and if they were always fleshy or started as elementals like most other races’ ancestors.
Either way, WoW works on fantasy rules and I’m pretty sure most humanoids can reproduce with most other humanoids, though maybe the likelihood of a successful offspring is less. I know Med’an isn’t really canon, but do we know if there are any examples of half human/half orcs?
We’ve had half-elves in the game since Burning Crusade (though he used a blood elf model)

Yes, but now, with this change, we got human body type elves, fat elves and soon, at the rate we’re going. we’ll have dwarves with elf ears, giving us short elves.

I can see it now. Mechagnomes who are fully robotic, except for some pointy, fleshy elf ears. Worgen who look like furry werewolves, except for naked pink pointy elf ears. Dracthyr, covered in chromatic scales, save for their skin-covered elf ears.
Ah, more elf-related customization while everyone else gets left with nothing.

So giving elf characteristics to other races now? Glad their ignoring elf customization again. So great that our plea for variety is going on deaf ears.

I think that’s the biggest issue I have.
Elves are over-represented. There are more than two on each faction, if you count Dracthyr.
New Kul’Tiran hair colors, I was kinda excited for those.
But alongside elf ears? It has dampened my excitement.
Why’s everything gotta be an elf?
It’s annoying. No, it’s way past annoying.
There is something elf in everything. There has to be, apparently.
I’d feel the same way if they had suddenly attached horns to every race. Well, that’d at least be different.
