So I main ret paladin and now with the DH and rogue reworks we see them over performing by leaps and bounds. EVERY M+ group requires a Rogue or DH in them and all I can sit around and think is "So when ret paladin got our rework and then got slapped with every nerf imagineable so I have to ask you…is it Rogue and DH’s turn to get hit with the nerf back to “Scale you back in line seeing as you’re overperforming” Which is the same line we ret paladins got.
“Ret paladin is over performing and needs to be scaled back to be at the same level as everyone else thats what it means to be balanced and not OP!” So i’m asking ALL of the people who shouted from the roof tops…you calling for rogue and DH nerfs? And if not why are you being so hypocritical? But we all knew that…right?

No this is a consistency thread. If people who once called and got ret pally nerfed due to “overwhelming feedback” that blizzard said was the cause for nerfing the reworked ret pally i’m calling on people to remain consistent with their beliefs and ask for the same thing…unless.
I run with a couple folks who play DH and rogue regularly and they both feel nerfs are inevitable. But they’re enjoying the classes while it lasts. Not sure what the big deal is. This is the norm.
I don’t get the hate for classes that are performing well. It baffles me that people take the “NERF ‘EM!” stance and not the “hey, can we have what they’re having” one.
It took us 1 full week of enjoyment before we got nerfed. in almost EVERY expansion we get “buffed” the community complains and we get our fun robbed from us like a thief in the night. Ret paladin has only EVER been op for anything longer than a couple weeks and that was back in wrath.
Welcome to WoW, where every build is good sometimes and every build is trash sometimes. If you want to play a non-flavor-of-the-month character, make friends who will run with you when you aren’t, but remember you will have to run with them when they aren’t either. Otherwise, PUGs will be PUGs.
Good attempt at gaslighting. I applaud you but there is nothing that I stated that was false. You have a bias against ret pally and it’s showing, which is fine, but it doesn’t come from a place of honesty, it comes from a lie.
Believe me I tried to have that stance, but if ret pally doesn’t get to enjoy their time in the sandbox, NO ONE should.
OK. In that case, they should just nerf ALL dps classes until tanks are back on top of the meters, with healers right behind them.

idk, whatever. At some point in time, every single dps spec has been on top of the meters, and people have cried about it. They continue to cry, until their dps class that they play is back on top.
It’s a scary cycle, no? That’s why I just heal. Because that’s a big NAH from me, dawg.
Sounds good. Can you objectively explain what “enjoy their time” looks like? Does that mean top dps in all content? And if so, by what margin? And for how long is that enjoyment supposed to take place? Also, which spec should be last, and why? And by what margin and in all game content or just parts?
