And Cata grobb. It took me 3 days to get a window to make an alliance char. That window close in the 30 minutes or so it took to run human intro and get to goldshire. I checked as I logged for bed. Alliance creation greyed out again.
And cata grobb doesn’t have only 1 faction lock. You can be play both factions on ot. So that’s was 3 days where even if motivated alliance said I can make 10 horde to make a slot for a new alliance alt, weren’t doing that. or its coded not to work like that.
I don’t know the details. all I know is alliance gets a small window. Miss it, wait some more.
it’s cool that you know you like PvE and will roll on PvE much better than someone who hates PvP but rolls PvP cuz muh favorite streeeeamer or whatever silly reason they got
With no OCE servers, OCE will roll US servers by default.
Worst case around 0600 east coast time, if OCE rolls horde heavy like we’ve seen in Cata, its going to be a horde server for a few hours.
See balance is complicated. the server can be say 10K each faction on the nose. that is total avg.
if it so happens OCE rolls 2K horde, its not mattering if east coast also has 2K alliance at 0600.
they will be going to work/school most likely. West coast…will have people in bed still.
OCE? we jsut haddinner, dishes and the kid’s homework is checked. Even Mom and dad duties are done. Its game time now. for a few hours.
More singular servers show disparity in time shifts with tz factored in. I did eve pvp in OCE corps for years. In eve OCE is the graveyard shift basically.
If we were sent to an East coast crews sytem they had 3 choices.
Scare up 200+ people to counter us at their EST 0600 (many getting ready to go work was not a coicidence lol). Lose some crap in their systems. Or recruit their own OCE corp(s) lol.
Wow complicates that. 2000 horde OCE only have 1 target. Alliance.
I have cata grobb to do wpvp. new levelers raised there for pvp giggles. they won’t raid, they see what trouble they can find. Or it finds them…it varies by the hours played.
Here, I’d need 3 hours in STV reaching a goal. A goal that is not likely walking to a corpse at least half of the 3 hours at least.
Have always found PvP servers attract the worse kind of players toxicity and meta slave wise (and before you start typing of course not everyone on pvp is toxic but it is noticeably different)
It’s actually not entirely everyone’s fault who rolls on a PVP server and is annoyed by the griefing. If you roll in a PVE server, you will not be able to find PVP groups for BGs later on.
For some reason, PVE server people aren’t interested in battlegrounds. So anyone that wants to thrive in pugs for battlegrounds has to roll on a PVP server, even if they despise world PVP griefing.
I expect the Alliance on the PvP server to go extinct pretty fast, they always do anymore. And with no megaserver to flee to most of them will either reroll Horde or theyll try to jump to PvE Alliance.
