Evokers were only braught due to clump strats. They excell at burst clumped aoe healing.

You see Shamans and Holy priests braught in for fights with more spread spot healing (plus symbols amd other utility)

And in a regular raid last night all we had were pally/priest healers…I’m honestly not seeing many shaman healers right now when pugging anything. So either they are not that meta, or people just are not aware.

Should perhaps have said “MOST Everyone wants a Shaman healer and that’s that.” But it wouldn’t have had nearly enough drama for the forums.

No just kidding, pvp is awful. I’ve hit 1.8k enough times to know I’d rather gouge out my eyeballs with a spork.

I prefer my Ele shaman to play. As for having a healer in an instance, yeah… Shaman healers have a huge pool, tons of utility, and are reactive compared to RDruids, Priests, or Evokers.

As an evoker I’d definitely consider myself reactive outside TA/TD. Which is nothing more than a very thin layer to reduce the massive incoming onslaught (and slightly increase the oncoming reaction to said brutality).

There are some great healing classes atm, and some that are just suffering. It makes sense that Shaman Restos would still have some powerstroke since Earth can be Shaman and it is a nice way to promote the new Allied Race.

Most of the player base doesn’t follow the meta. The only people that care about it are the top 1%* and the wannabe 1%. Everyone else just plays what they have fun on.

*And some of them ignore the meta too as they’re good enough that they can do max content on anything.
