Everyone should have a path to progress to max ilvl gear, EVERYONE!

I get to play whatever the heck I want. Who are you to tell me what to do?

Obviously that’s not true not or you wouldn’t be here complaining.

lol, let me rephrase for your poor reading comprehension. You can tell me to leave the game all you want… I’ll keep playing it.

Not everyone deserves a participation trophy. Stop caring about what others work for and worry and about your own character. If you want to have the best gear then go for it, nothing is holding you back but yourself. You kids today are something else.

I’m saying this is an MMO. Its meant to be played with other people. If you don’t like it then a single player RPG would be more your speed.

Nah, I think I will keep expressing my opinion.

Sorry if you dont like it

As has been said many times on here (even by me) WoW needs to decide if its an RPG cop-op or a competitive game.

Competitive game like Fortnight behave the way you say.

MMORPGs dont because there is no way to compete. I realize Blizz tried because they think it will boost numbers, but IMHO WoW being competitive is like saying D&D should be competitive - ridiculous.

MMORPGs were co-ops where people work together, not be competitive

Well your idea is bad.

No. I am vehemently against the idea that players refusing to participate in harder content should be allowed the exact same quality of reward, just at a slower pace.

In some limited capacity, it’s okay.

But if that “slower pace” still means they’ll finish the patch in the same place the best players do? Hell no. Character progress is already fleeting as hell with a roughly 5 month patch cycle. There is 0 need to make putting in the extra effort to get better stuff even more of a waste of time.

Everyone has their own progression path. Where that ends will vary from person to person, and that’s okay.

Like the OP said, we don’t want to be “given” anything! We just want an alternate means of earning good gear.

IF you want the best gear in the game you got to put in the work for it.
If you’re willing to be semi-hardcore and be 2nd best is where it’s at.
You get to experience actual game.

My only issue with how gearing works in wow is you must do have to do dungeons>lfr>normal>heroic>mythic making the leap without a guild that can work with your schedule is a pain when you have to deal with pugging and people leading groups that want heroic gear people for normal raids… I got fully geared all the way up to Full heroic back in Wrath, Cata, MoP, & Wod without a guild. I’ve hardly ever put in the work for progression in with a guild unless they’re friends. I simply pug my way to the top then join a guild that has said raid on farm. It sounds easy, but navigating pugs can be a pain. I also only play during the beginning first patch skip the second… come back for the final patch then catch up on old content then wait for catch up mechanics then proceed to do final patch.

Careful, the basement dwellers are starting to enrage. Can’t have the sole purpose of their existence, to feel more powerful than others in a video game, be jeopardized!

I don’t know what else you want

The mythic chest has given mythic level gear all expansion granted you finsihed above a 15 key, and the pvp chest has given mythic level PvP gear all expansion granted you hit the 2400 rating.

What exactly more did you want?

Everyone does.

They’re called “players”.

I think they think that if they do a bunch of low level content (like world/daily quests) for a long enough period of time, they believe it’s enough to reward them with top quality gear regardless of there being no skill required on their part.

I know a big chunk of this forum thinks that they are entitled to everything in the game because they pay the same subscription and put in time played, but thankfully the vast majority of actual game developers have the foresight to never really cater to this behavior. They know better.

Ion will never implement what Ralph is suggesting.

You’re assuming I can do or want to do either of these things.

The thought that having raiders gear makes one player better than another is hysterical. Some of us filthy casuals were playing this game and raiding MC when yall were pooping in diapers. Very few if any of these posters want something for nothing, we are asking for a way to progress beyond 445-450 wall where one drop every other week is our only chance of an upgrade because we have a life and choose not to spend all week farming so we can mythic raid once a week. M++++++++ isnt enjoyable and requires near the same prep. Are your precious epeens so delicate that a person can get within 10 ilevels of you here at the end of the xpac somehow keeps you awake at night? Damn. Makes me glad I’m a casual now.

What kind of progression are talking about here though?

Complete 20 World Quest = Get a weekly chest with mythic level item

or

Complete mage-tower level of difficulty boss to be awarded a piece of gear

What progression system would actually look like this one?

I mean it can be both competitive & co-op? Those things are not mutually exclusive. The competitive part has been endorsed by Blizzard. The co-op part has always been there and is most prevalent in raiding so I’m not sure what your point here is.

I’m not sure I understand the comparison with D&D. Most D&D campaigns are played in a small group within a private world. This would be the equivalent to playing WoW on a private server with 3-4 other friends.

LOL. Don’t say something stupid like “I can play whatever the heck I want” and then sit here and whine that you’re not able to play how you want.

And I’m not telling you to leave. I’m telling you to deal with the choices you’ve made.
