At the end of the day nobody wants to roll the dice at the beginning of a expansion and get stuck on a dying server, this was bound to happen on such a big server like Pagle but yet so few 6/6 guilds, not to mention lack of PvP players, and it’s only a matter of time til Grobbulus alliance starts transfering to Benediction aswell, because guilds and players are under the fear of Blizzard closing the server due to massive pop and xfers just like Firemaw.
Why would I join a PVP server? I joined Pagle in 2019 especially because I don’t want that “PVP” garbage while leveling and I think a lot of original Pagle residents would think the same.
BTW Population didn’t change on Pagle so far, we will see on next update (next week) tho I don’t expect a huge drop since a lot of people on Pagle are there for a reason.
That was true at the beginning of Classic when servers had both factions active, as of now the “PvP” and “PvE” terms given to said servers are just useless since they’re either 100% Alliance or 100% Horde so the problem you’re worried about is non existent.
Don’t get me wrong, I really hope people stops transfering to Benediction, but it’s kind of inevitable at this point if the rumors on Pagle are true, if you take a look at Pagle statistics you have around 170 guilds with only 30 ish (not counting GDKPs) being 6/6 in SWP that is pretty abysmal for a server that big, guilds will feel pressured and eventually give up when you can just xfer to a server that has a healthy pool of players to recruit from. Not to mention the PvP community on Pagle that can’t find partners to play with.
And with Blizzard threatening to close servers just like they did to Firemaw expect this exodus to happen twice as fast if it’s really happening, you’ll wake up in the morning and suddenly everyone is gone, that’s what happened to Whitemane alliance and Herod few months ago.
Yep… Almost everyone in my entire guild has went from Remulos (PvE) to Arugal (PvP) this week and its actually been a great experience. Generally no one screws with you at all while questing. If anything its actually been a better experience then being on a PvE server in that players from the other faction simply do not try to gank the mobs you are attacking. They simply give you some space and do their own thing.
Alll pvp servers except for grobb and oceanic are one sided monofaction. People want to come to the megaservers for recruitment, better pvp partners, easier dungeon groups, gdkps, etc. They’re PvE servers in all but name.
alliance wont have that problem on benediction its likes 99.9% alliance, so the chances of getting ganked while fishing is very slim. It might happen but very slim chance. I have a horde on Benediction and i do /who 10-60 less then 50. /who 60-70 maybe 20-30 players. I do this throughout the day almost same results.
You got some points like the Arena pool of players, same faction servers, etc, Pagle is a Dad server so yeah not the best place to find PVP partners.
However we received a surge of people since 2020 so I wouldn’t mind if those people left. We will see how Pagle goes in the following weeks, I’ll consider moving if population goes really low.
That doesn’t even make sense. Do you even think about this stuff at all, lol?
If it’s a small server sure, bots could probably manipulate prices to a degree… But on a server of 30k it’s just not happening. It’d be like trying to control the price of hot dogs in NY. In a place that size no single entity is going to have enough power to control pricing.
They just blocked all incoming transfers and new characters on Firemaw EU, and Bene is about to surpass Firemaw EU, so they might even block people from leaving Pagle if they aren’t quick enough
Bene already has more characters. Still never seen a queue. If there are queues on Firemaw it’s a symptom of something specific to their hardware, not a general constraint.
