Yeah while the concept is solid I’d really suggest doing a ton of research prior. Demand for these is very low here, and Faerlina’s AH prices fluctuate wildly.
One of the biggest guilds on my server left this week to Benediction as well. I wouldn’t be surprised it bene goes up 10k players in the next few weeks.
I’ve posted saying this before (that the PVE to PVP servers are a bad idea because it could kill PVE servers) but of course, the people asking for them absolutely have no idea how to look at the big picture or anything outside what they want.
There are actually people who think that by going from a server with 30k people instead of 10k people suddenly everything will improve for them, and even that their guilds will do so much better, as 3x the people means the server is sunshine and rainbows. They haven’t figured out that there is 3x the competition for groups too so it doesn’t matter unless you play at really odd times or are looking for a really niche thing like staying at 60 and running MC and BWL, otherwise the experience is the same or worse. Note that 10k raiders/arena players is massive and is already way more people than the original TBC servers had.
The biggest servers are absolute cesspools. You are nothing but a number and the only people who really thrive are the con artist and scammer types who can get away with fooling as many people as possible as there is always someone to victimize.
This is how it is now though. At this point, I’m mostly just looking forward to seeing the crying over the queues in pre-patch or with Wrath from these entitled types because unless Blizzard changes something drastic with their code there will be 4-hour queues.

The people wanting PvE>PvP transfers are mostly pvpers though. Were not really looking there for PvE success
False, haven’t seen a pvp player complain about this.
It’s only pve players complaining of the lower accessibility to heroic groups and leveling parties
Is pagle actually dying? I planned on playing there for wrath, already made all my characters and started leveling.
you would have to ask player over there and on the server discord.
people been asking for pve > pvp transfer for a while. i don’t think its a coincidence but at the same time, these pve server might not die overnight.
the sale currently on server transfer definitely doesn’t help to persuade people to stay there also
My friend and I transferred as ally from our ally dominated server to a 50/50 server. That one eventually went one side so we rerolled horde on a 60/40 server. That server went all horde in tbc then died.
We gave up and now play ally in benediction. It’s so annoying that this is how the majority of players want to play.

Pagle is fine. One of the better guilds left. This post is some sky-is-falling BS. As for going to Bene, I hope you like queues and a broken AH. I can’t imagine why a guild would go there for wotlk launch. Huge mistake imo.
When Wrath launches all those people will be here complaining about queues.

Pagle is an amazing server with an awesome community and the 2nd largest NA ally server atm. But I am one of the people considering jumping ship simply because everyone else is saying they will.
Sad, but I don’t want to be on a dead server for wrath. Blizzard should have blocked server transfers to bene months ago.

I mean 10000 versus 30000 I would just think the numbers would be bigger I don’t see why it would be that big of a deal ?
Well 1st off fun fact I’m in the same boat bro I started on old blanchy and the move to Piggle 2 I haven’t looked@ironforge.pro as the population difference really that different?
Because it doesn’t feel like it I mean this is just me I would rather just play on A PVE SERVER But I do agree at this point I don’t see a reason for servers I literally think they should just charge everything servers are just more problems than they’re worse.
I love pagle and I’d like to stay with my guild but everyone here is dads and there just aren’t partners for arena. Moving to bene opens up so many options to play different comps with higher skill players.

Something to monitor on pagle is if the gdkps starts to dry up then that’s a sign it’s dying.
No one cares about the que time and the ah the only the thing that matters is progression and high quality recruits which pagle is lacking atm. Gold is easy to make and get on a high population server it’s called inflation and gdkps which benediction has tons of. You’re an idiot if you think gold and que times are stopping people from transferring.
