Happens every expansion now , warlocks start off strong & then get overtaken at speed by pretty much everything until they’re left reeling at the bottom of the ladder.
I am 100% sure that there is no warlock dev & the class isnt even being looked at.

Yeah by season 3 they were decent after almost a year of being seriously underpowered.

Have we been playing the same game? Warlock started out this expansion dog poop. Demonology was S tier but now it’s mid at best. Destro and affliction are nowhere where they need to be. About to be F tier?

Warlocks generally get better as the expansion progresses.
What context are we talking?
Demo lock is top 5 in at least half the raid bosses at mythic level, according to logs.
Destro seems to be doing well in M+ overall, according to logs.
Affliction seems to be the underrepresented spec rn.
Unsure how warlocks are doing in PVP.
I’d celebrate that. Warlocks are often meta wayyyy to much. Neuter em.
I like how blizzy said they wanted to give demo a bit more ST damage so they buffed reign of tyranny like anyone is taking that over short tyrant

It is not F tier, don’t exaggerate. Warlocks are middle of the pack right now rather consistently, and with a good PI and understanding of your kit they can shine above other classes performing above.
Sucks to have to swap specs for encounters? Sucks to have to play dance-dance-revolution? Yes. Sucks that Demo is overthought on the cooldown department and utterly dependent on good management of it? Yes. Affliction sucks terribly both AoE and ST and is fundamentally broken because of MR, modifier stacking, disparate talent rows and bugged balancing? Yes. Still, the utility, tankiness and reliable damage of the class makes it sour above many others in solo play and PvP. Even PvE it is not that bad.
Blizzard’s fiasco with the last patch is terrible, I agree. But I see many other classes in even worse situation (paladins, shamans, druids save for resto) that haven’t yet been touched, while affliction and destro have been steadily buffed since the start of the expansion.
Moreover, I don’t know for how long you play warlocks, but usually the specs begin soaring in performance from middle of the expansion onward due to secondary stacking being so strong for destro and affliction.
I solve that by playing destro. Muahahaha
