if it was “balanced” around the 60% nerf then a 50% nerf after would make sense as everything else that was “balanced” also got hit.

Drinaki’s post describes what I mean. Unless there are buffs we aren’t aware of, trait dependent specs are getting wrecked

this is very good in the long run. specs should not be viable thanks to random traits. now hopefully they can balance the specs without having to also balance traits at the same time throwing everything off.

What is the long run? You’re okay with specs being unplayable? Look at 8.0 locks, dk, ww. What makes you think tuning will be any better going forward?

having to balance for 1 variable is much better than 2. knocking one off makes it better for everyone.

Yeah but you’re assuming they’re actually going to attempt to “balance” things.

5 months into the expansion and all they’ve proven is that they’re very good at swinging the nerf bat without compensating elsewhere. Not sure why these “good for the game” blanket statements get thrown out. All this pointless Utopia game direction fantasy posts are pointless because they don’t give a crap and are gonna do what they do.

you can say the same for balancing traits or new traits introduced. with their bad record un nerfed traits would just mess up balance even more. or a spec would be reliant on a trait because the actual spec sucks. balancing the spec is the most important thing here. even if they suck at it, they can put all their brainpower into 1 aspect now.

this pretty much sums up the problems of BFA, there are too many formulas to consider as the expansion progresses, as we increase in ilvl our characters become more powerful, and so do azerite traits. There becomes a point where having 2 scaling factors for damage/healing is a game breaking issue. especially when you have traits that reduce cooldowns on certain abilities, give stat procs and have % based proc chances.

how can they justify reducing damage/healing of azerite traits by a full 50% without considering traits like Chaotic Transformation, the boomkin trait that gives them 10 sec of incarnation or the fury recklesness trait?

In a vacuum sure but another season of 8.0 is exactly what this game doesn’t need where things are absolutely unplayable. Unless something is blatantly broken I’d rather them just leave it alone at this point because, again, they are putting in 0 effort this expav

that’s why i said in the long run. they have to actually balance specs now which will take some time. horrid specs that relied on traits will be hurt, but that was because bfa(mainly the trait system) is bad.

Just because the expansion is god awful doesn’t mean it should feel unplayable for x amount of players imo.

Hopefully the entire system is scrapped next expansion but right now I’m more interested in short-term Band-Aids to merely get by and try to enjoy what I can.

This azurite system is a complete failure. Take our talents away and give a shell of them back azurite gear no one has access to anyways unless you PvE lol.
Activision literally destroyed my favorite game of many many years.
Legitimately disgusted.
Why isn’t the neck piece just a carry over from the artifact weapon is BEYOND ME.

I don’t even know how the PvE people handle this, nothing has anything to do with skill, class or anything anymore. It’s legit do you have these made up talents or not ? No. Goodbye :slight_smile:

Literally the classes don’t even play like they are meant to without certain traits.

this expansion just started. there is no way we can go on years like this. this is the first step to fixing something that was a huge mistake.
