Players would like for Holinka’s statement to mean that every race will get every class, but you need to read between the lines of what was said and come back down to reality.

His comments here were made directly after Tauren/Highmountain, Draenei/Lightforged, and Orcs were slated to have mage, priest, and rogue opened up to them respectively.

The after all of the newness where’s off, you be back upon these very forums complaining about how everything is the same.

You could go play Ascention, because it’s classless WoW, and still probably exists because of this. You pick a race, and then pick whatever abilities that you want to have, which can lead to some unique amalgamations.

Theyre already in lore and have been in game since Burning Crusade. So if we dont get then ima riot.

While I will ALSO riot, I’m pretty sure we don’t have belf druids anywhere. There’s belf botanists, if you can even call them that because they FORCE control over nature, but we don’t have any druids.

Never say never. I’d say Blood Elf Druids are a lot more reasonable and lore grounded than some race/class requests.

It’s harder to envision an Undead, Void Elf, or Mechagnome Druid; neither of them have any particular reverence for nature.

Ive always figured the one in tempest keep is a druid cause he turns into the tree form.
Ik they’re in lore though cause in one of the books a group of trolls finds a group of belfs after the attack by Arthas and teaches them druidism.

Honestly… My “final form,” so to speak, would be a Human Druid. Considering there were Gilnean Druid even before they got the bite, I don’t see why human could not also learn druid skills.

Worgens look so goofy.

<3 my Tauren Druid but would also love to finally play a human druid.

I could see most races having most classes except like Void Elves with like Paladin, Shaman and Druid or Lightforged Draenei with Warlock or Demon Hunter but for most races like Blood Elves, Tauren, Trolls, Night Elves, Nightborne, Orcs, Dwarves, etc. I could see them having all classes eventually.

I haven’t really thought about what would or wouldn’t make sense so the Void Elf and Lightforged ones were just first things to come to mind but I’m sure there’s more that wouldn’t really make sense regardless of how it’s spun.

And I don’t think the Wild Gods or the Titans would look keen on Mechagnome constructs.

No news since these:

Highlights:

  • The team wants to move towards a world where the race of a character is not an inhibitor to what class you can play.

  • Classes that require more work with custom forms and animations will most likely be thought of and added over time.

  • Classes that have strict lore adherence will likely need more set-up.

And then there was this French interview:

Highlights:

Ion Hazzikostas: “I think there are things besides their hair color that would make Void Elf Paladins disliked by their order. However, race/class associations are something the development team is actively discussing. We collect many opinions, many requests, and while some combinations might seem more complex than others, we believe that everything is possible. So we don’t want to close the doors of a certain class to a certain race. We don’t have anything to announce specifically for Eternity’s End, but it’s something we discuss a lot.”

We probably won’t hear anything else about class proliferation until later in Dragonflight, and we probably won’t see new class/race combos until pre-patch for the next expansion. That said, considering how much elemental/Shaman themed elements plays a part in Dragonflight, there’s probably a decent chance you’ll have your Worgen Shaman then.

Night elf Paladins when?

Idc if they made paladins the most useless trash class… I would be playing that combo like no other.

That sounds like a PR move in hopes to get the playerbase hyped up for no reason.

The idea of “every race every class” is a clown show.
